He didn't really get a close season, with 2 Scotland matches in June. Even though he only played 1 full game and a bit of the other he'd still be on full training. Then pretty much we were straight into CL qualifiers. I don't know the exact figure but at a reasonably educated guess he's played around 34-38 games for Celtic and Scotland since June. It doesn't surprise me his performances have dipped, the only real surprise is it didn't happen sooner.

Needing a rest. Think we'll see the best from him after the January break. Until then, he needs to dig in, since Shved has the aul' invisibility cloak on.

Sunday was his worst performance for us for as long as I can remember. The epitome of anonymous.

Canny really blame him for Sunday when you see the tactics we used.

Maybe, but there isn’t an effective tactic that should nullify one of your main attacking threats.

Would be a good point if we didn’t nullify all of our attacking threats for the first hour.

    Going route one was baffling.

Has been off form for the past month, although he is still providing decent link up play, setting up chances, just seems to have lost his dynamic lately. If we had El Ham back, young Jerry could be used in his position.

He was terrible yesterday. Been off form for weeks now.

Badly needs a rest but just isn’t getting one.

Travelled to Romania for some reason. Mental decision.

Regardless if it's fatigue or just form, he needs support. For whatever reason Shved is being completely bombed out, meaning Forrest has no competition on the right. Needs fixed.

Starting to think that him playing left side is not helping him.

He didn’t play, he still had the full week with no game.

    Hardly a rest though.

He's missed 2 games for us all season and started every other one. I make it 35 games he's played already this season, Celtic and Scotland combined. It's just crazy, given the squad we have.

Not playing a game in a full week is what counts as a rest for us.

He has a tendency to go missing in games, always capable of that bit of magic though.

Needs a decent break and some genuine competition i.e. a Paddy Roberts.

He's definitely tired, 2016/2017/2018 even up to the end of last season he was a machine, looked like he could run all day and worked hard in defence and attack. This season he started ok but in recent months he's downed tools defensively probably to get a breather, doesn't seem tactical as we were subbing him often to put Christie there later in games to do more running and keep us more solid.

Same kind of thing that bothered McGregor last season as well when he had a dip and played more simple for probably half the season but he's came back to form this season as if he was rested.

I think we could have rested him more if Johnston never spent those 3 months out eve against Hibs there we could have left him out if Johnston and Eyounoussi were fit. Seems he will have to keep going until the break if they're not fit yet.
