James Forrest

Anyone else think the Lennon statement about "people leaving the club" is maybe a dig at Tierney while praising Forrest for his commitment to our club? Or am I maybe looking too much into that?

 

Probably talking about Ntcham and just being sick of the press asking about people leaving

I doubt it, but if and when Tierney leaves, perhaps we will better appreciate Forrest.

Cant say that for certain, could be meaning both. As said first time English team comes calling and he leaves that'll say it for me, all the megaphone stuff only goes so far.

Look at the service Forrest has given us compared to KT, shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as him at this time.

 

By the same token, Forrest has never been subject of a bid from a top 6 English team. If he had I'd suspect he'd have left.

Did Redknapp not bid for him while at Spurs?

I might be wrong but I remember them sending scouts and declaring their interest in him and Lennon being annoyed.
