NL: "Tom, Callum and Ryan Christie will be a few weeks until we'll have them back. Dedryck has reacted well to a knock and will be ready for tomorrow.

Callum McGregor remains sidelined for today’s visit of Aberdeen but is expected to return for next weekend’s game at Dens Park. And the forthcoming Scotland European Championship qualifiers against Kazakhstan and San Marino should work to the benefit of those Celtic players who have been injured.

“Callum will hopefully train next week,” said Lennon. “Hopefully he will be fit for Dundee and if not then I think he will go away with Scotland and be fit to feature in one of the games anyway. Ryan [Christie] has a hamstring injury so he is out for longer.

“Kieran has a bit of a pubic problem but he will be assessed when he gets there. Our physio is the Scotland physio so he’ll be talking to himself! But, certainly for Callum with the Celtic v Rangers game on the horizon when we come back it might be very beneficial for him to get some game time. We are hoping he’ll be OK for Dundee although whether he will be fit enough to start is another thing.”

Neil Lennon feels the international break acts as an extra week for his injured players to recover, and said Olivier Ntcham is back on the training pitch, as is Filip Benkovic. The manager also stated that Ryan Christie, out with a hamstring injury, is still a while away from full fitness, and that the progress of Tom Rogic will be re-assessed next week.

NEIL LENNON is preparing to welcome back Tom Rogic and Olivier Ntcham for the Rangers game at Parkhead on March 31.

And the Celtic interim boss also isn’t ruling out Ryan Christie returning for the Old Firm showdown.

Lennon revealed a closed doors game has been lined up for Friday.

He told Celtic TV: “Ryan is still a little bit off but Oli, Tom and Filip Benkovic are all doing a little bit on the grass today, so that is just an increase in their work now.

We’ve got a bounce game on Friday, hopefully, behind closed doors that they can get some minutes into their legs.

“And then hopefully they will be declared fit for the game in a couple of weeks.

Ryan, I think, might be a little bit of a stretch.

“It might be but we will see how he goes.”
