We'll see amigo. I'd love for him to prove me wrong :50:

Another goal that Ajer has totally sold for us by the way. Wonder how many he's * for us individually this season..

That’s fair enough, long as you have a reason!

    Desperately need another centre half.

Jozo is a write off. Constantly injured and always has a mistake in him. Bitton is a decent emergency cover but ultimately not ideal. Ajer is good but not been his best for a while. Jullien seems to step up in the big games and has been a very good signing. But even he has brain farts or moments where he looks painfully slow. Another experienced centre half would be lovely.

Our left back area is still a big problem as well. £6m spent in the summer on that position and Hayes is still making a regular appearance there. Only two of our full backs have properly impressed this season - Frimpong and Elhamed.

Not writing off any of the 2 left back signings yet. Boli deserves another run he was doing fine once he got consistent game time. Taylors still played * all games to be judged properly.
Hayes never again. It doesnt work. Disaster waiting to happen against any half decent side.

    The 10 wee teams
    Frimpong Jullien Benko Taylor/Boli

    Huns/Europe
    Hatem Jullien Benko Boli

If we dont get Benko in then
    Frimpong Hatem Jullien Boli/Taylor

Aye, I've never been fully convinced with Ajer. I know he's a young guy and he has put in some massive performances for us but he makes a lot of costly mistakes

Katic free header, diving in on Morelos and not winning the ball, getting done by Cosgrove in the air, Hamilton, diving in for the Rennes penalty (1st leg), loses his man for Rennes player to nod in front post (2nd leg)

That's just off the top of the head. Worst part is that he moans the * off others when they make a mistake and he's probably the worst out of the lot for them.

He's played there for Israel and done well.

But Lennon picking him over the other 3 would be a clear sign that he doesn't fancy any of them.

I was meaning we need a LB in the mould of Elhamed, solid and reliable, can do the basics very well first and foremost.

I don't have a fear when i see him play, canny say that for any of our LB's tbh.

His best game's for us this year were probably when he was filling in at right back..

He doesn't look comfortable playing as the left sided centre half....particularly when dragged out wide..

He's terrible in the air for me. Can also be a bit weak as well. Passing can be erratic once he goes on a run and gets to the halfway line. Gets touch tight and rolled against stronger forwards like Rennes away. Goes to ground when he should stay on his feet..

Don't wanna rinse the big * as I think he's quality and can go all the way but naturally with a young centre half...he has mistakes in him....but too many for us in my opinion..

Needs to buck up his idea's. Can see how big a miss he is though when Jozo is in as his replacement though..

I think it's already obvious that he doesn't rate any of them..

I'm sure Elhamed and Frimpong can play on the left. Wouldn't surprise me if we did it at some point..

I agree I tend to think this had a lot to do with our poor shape at the back yesterday. Plus even beyond that fact both full backs in Bauer and especially Hayes did not play well either IMHO.

If only big Elhamed would stay injury free, he could slot in at LB in games where a physical edge is required. Boli/ Taylor are more than capable for other games. We certainly ain't buying another LB any time soon...
Has Frimpong ever played on the left?

We can’t play that defence again, it was an absolute riot against Ross County.

We badly need a CB and RB cover in. If Benkovic is available it’s a no-brainer.

I suspect Hayes got the nod in front of Taylor because he offers more going forward, but I don’t think that’s wise when the CB on that side is Jozo.

Taylor should play midweek. I think he’s a good player that will get better.

Agree with all of this, I still shudder when I think back to Saturday and seeing those 3 occasions with Ross C long clearances over the top with their fowards running in with only Fraser to beat. I do know how we got away with it, but we did, a more clinical finisher would have buried them.

Think Taylor definitely needs a chance and a run in at left back he's definitely my first choice. Hayes is worse than a man down and boli isn't really any better. In regards to the centre halves Julien and ajer is a good partnership. Yeah ajer has been below par alot of this season but think with the injury and the fact there's a bit more competition there with jozo back he will push on and get top form back. Right back is a worry just now as Bauer is poor
