Craig Gordon

Gordon is a good shot-stopper with good reflexes but his decision-making is poor and at times truly abysmal. He's forever putting us in trouble with his passing and has an alarming habit of staying on his line when he should be coming out and coming out when he should be staying on his line. Dire at penalties too. It's the manager who keeps picking him though so the buck stops with him.

 

Gordon has his obvious limits, but the worst part of it is that we do not adapt to this. Instead of avoiding backpasses, we stubbornly hold onto meaningless possession far away from the opposition goal.

 

He's just such a really unlikable * for me..

 

Do feel a bit sorry for him as except for the obvious he had a good game. His kicking is poor and in general he's an average keeper, not terrible and not good.

Doesn't strike fear into the opposition like Forster did. Sooner or later we need to suck it up and spend big on a goalie. 6-10 million spent well there could do us a decade or more.

His interview was the nail in the coffin for me.

Why not come out and say look I * up and I apologize. Naw he couldn't do that, went on about how it's rare and he thought he had a good game

He's an arrogant *. We've suffered the last 3 years of this guys sub par kicking and he seems totally unaware that he's not improved at all, I mind an interview a year or so ago where he was saying he'd proved people wrong with his distribution

Should be 2nd choice. Don't even need to get in to what's wrong with his kicking because it's been clear as day for years now.

 

Don't think I know anyone on here, Twitter or real life that hasn't got to the stage of wanting someone better.

Even those who try to be nice and compliment his only (supposed) strength are saying enough is enough.

Never known our entire support to agree on this sort of thing before.

Just * hope Rodgers has figured it out now. He's going to * let us down in the last 32, it's a given. So either buy in new, or give bain the game time to get up to full speed and allow him that chance.

It's a joke with Gordon now. Absolutely not good enough for us.


Then we have the media, who for whatever reason want to defend him (is it just to stir it or tell Celtic fans we are bad bad people?) And suggest the only reason a lot of us don't "take to him" is because he isn't a Celtic man.

Hands down, couldn't give a * if he is a Celtic man, hearts man, man United man, a white man, an Asian man, a tall man, short man... He just isn't * good.

I hate him. He’s utter drawers. People need to stop with the good shot stopper rhetoric. That’s his job. If you weren’t a good shot stopper you wouldn’t be playing in goal for Pollok let alone Celtic.

His arrogant attitude and the fact he blames others for all of his shortcomings make me despise him even more. A miserable * and a * example to young players. No accountability, no balls.

Tbh that post match interview was a disgrace.No two ways about it.

 

He made some amazing saves no doubt. But when he * up he was just like “oh that was weird” and carried on haha own up ya *

 

His error last night was so astonishingly bad that it is ridiculous, but however you look at it, he was absolutely excellent up to that point.

 

Thanking his lucky * stars that Rosenborg scored, that’s for sure. That goal could have knocked us out of Europe effectively and he’s coming out trying to pass the blame and say it’s unlucky? It’s no unlucky bawbag you may as well have threw the ball in the net and celebrated wae the Salzburg fans ya big honking jobby of a goalkeeper.

 

The t1t is basically rolling it out saying ur not allowed to take this ball when I’m rolling it out what a *, he puts his arms out wanting a free kick!! replace.

 

He had made some impressive saves, but he could and perhaps should have done better for the first goal, and his distribution was woeful all night. His kicking was not only inaccurate, but aimless; he repeatedly put our outfield players under unnecessary pressure.
