Think the loans have given our team a much needed edge and boosted confidence a bit. Defence looks tighter and attack more creative

And so it should , brought in 3 quality attackers and a right back, gives the team fresh impetus evolve and give healthy competition, wich should have been in the summer when we never done much business, ended up with 1 striker because of griffiths and dembele.

The big question is: can possession be built from the back against Valencia, or will they press effectively to make it a hazardous venture? If Rodgers insists on rigidly keeping ball on the deck, I foresee trouble.

We will not adapt our principles to the opponent under Rodgers, that much is clear after 2 and a half seasons.

If we play with the same intensity as we did against City at home though there’s no reason whatsoever we can’t beat Valencia playing expansive and creative possession based football.

Think it'll be a close one, seems they've found a bit of form of late.

Being intense is a matter of fitness, but Bain and the defense might be tested severely when it comes to decision-making on the ball. Honestly, some of the passes between the defense yesterday had me scared. Things went well, but booting the ball when in danger has its merits.

In Europe booting the ball is exactly what causes us allsorts of problems.

Gordon’s kicking and decision making in Europe has choked us for years. We’ve lost countless amounts of possession because of him.

This is about showing us , playing to our style , attacking with aggression, pressing high with intensity, getting us the fans onside and keeping us there ,playing with pride in the jersey and above all playing with a smile and enjoying the moment , coming off that park with nothing left . Hail hail .

I think it's actually passing back to the keeper in the first place that is the problem. And it's worse if Gordon is that keeper. Inviting the opposition to press your goalkeeper is way worse than just simply firing a long pass. Possession in one's own half is at best- useless.

    All about tempo..

Start fast and go after them pressing from the front and we can do damage..

I wish this game would hurry up. Nothing better than a European game in Paradise.

Got a ticket for this earlier. I remember the last time we played Valencia at Celtic Park really well as my granny passed away earlier that night. Was only 10 and came in from football training having just heard the news, absolutely heartbroken, when Larsson scored just before half time to cheer me up. I remember thinking that she was watching over them that night.

Of course, they lost on penalties so she didn't do a very good * job :56:But at least she got them that far. I'm sure she'll be doing the same on Thursday.

They have a devestating counter and had barca on the ropes there for a good half of football.

But theyre really * at defending counters. Betis, barca, even sociedad had them scrambling all over the shop recently.

This one could be a cricket score
