I don't think it would be fair to exclude those that had paid for a ticket but couldn't make it, bearing in mind that there was widespread disruption to travel. I only made it to the game as the in-laws offered a lift to and fro, otherwise I was goosed.

HCTS is the fairest system I can think of. There should be a little more notice of when tickets are going on sale though. It's * to put up a social media post (which not everyone will see) on the morning of the sale.

Fair enough, I think that might be last season's figure I'm giving then. Probably a few people joined on the back of us winning the treble last season.

Luckily i got my ticket but i would be * off aswell if i went to work and came back and they were sold out without much warning.

Why dont they give a few days notice when they’re going on sale?

Got sorted as well but yes I can understand the anger.

Arguably giving a few days notice would create just as much chaos, people queuing from all hours, phone lines completely blocked, website crashing etc etc.

9.15 they published the sale on club website and social media channels.
10.45 I got an email from the club alerting me to same.
    Tickets sold out at 5.30.

Plenty of messages in our group chats and from my mates highlighting they were on sale too. But for anyone who genuinely didn't get word and missed out it's proper *.

From the TO's point of view, they have never given pre sale notice for Hampden or away games and this process worked fine for the last time we had a 50/50 split of Hampden, the LC semi against Hibs. It was FCFS for HCTS members and it took days upon days to sell out with many CSCs struggling to punt tickets on the day. But they're no from Govan.

Think a lot of fans knew they were on sale and didn't purchase right away for whatever reason. A few of my mates assumed they'd still be around at the weekend and they could go TO after they got paid on Friday etc.
It also said on website they'd be available 'subject to availability until Monday 26th March' which probably gave people a false sense of security too.

Shambolic the way the semi tickets were put on sale. A PR relations disaster.

First notification of going on sale was via Twitter & the website at about 9.30am. With no consideration given to those that are maybe elderly / don't use twitter or are not online at that time of the morning. With it being FCFS and on HCTS only automatically ruling out those not on HCTS who had bought and attended the previous three home rounds.

Then once again soon as big demand tickets go on sale the phone lines and website become jammed or crash.

Next thing we see is queues forming at the TO and before you know it several hundred are stood exposed to the elements for 3 hours plus. Doesn't help when they then have some security guy walking up and down the line telling people no guarantee by the time they reach the TO there will be any tickets left.

Why on earth Celtic made it FCFS only to those on HCTS and with no advance notice is beyond belief. Yes many joined the HCTS this season purely to try and be in the ballot for semi and final tickets.

Officially sold out but I really doubt that is the case. I can guarantee you there will be a fair few kept back for the Official Celtic hospitality packages and they won't be cheap. Pretty much most of those will go obviously to go guys with money and not many will be seen in the hands of the regulars who have been going to every home and away game for years.

My biggest gripe though is the fact that someone in the TO must have given advance notice that the sale was to be made long before officially made. Otherwise how can anyone explain why some were in the ticket queue from before 7AM !!!!!

Spot on, plenty kept back for the official Celtic hospitality packages. Prices are:

    Platinum £235 + vat
    Gold £165 + vat
    Silver £110 + vat

All with 'standard Celtic end semi-final ticket'

Whats the difference in the 3 packages. Did this a few times but forget what the difference is. Me and the mates are considering it for the final once we beat the huns.

Correct. Everyone on the HCTS should've got a ticket as priority before trying to milk the corporate market.

While it might return more money in the short-term, it'll * off those who've missed out and they potentially might take themselves off the scheme. Bit of short-sightedness from us I feel, in a season were we're relatively flush with money.

Shout out to the ridiculous decision by ScotRail to do engineering works the Saturday/Sunday of this game = I either fly from Manchester Saturday/Sunday or get the train Friday/Monday return but take the hit on 3 nights in a hotel. Mehhhh.

Al i was * amazed mate. Who the * sells tickets out of the blue on a Wednesday? I thought they'd only release them from tomorrow. Its a good job I got a ticket but basically I was and still am majorly skint till Tuesday, and it was a good job my Mum was able to borrow me the dosh (she initially said she couldn't then out of nowhere a day later said he are son here's what you need) + I've been on the HCTS + after working late I managed to get up in the early afternoon just before they sold out.

Got a ticket but it was a farce. Added to that the 8.50 postage and no collection facility or update on when tickets are being sent out, its a mess. Its going to cost me a bomb getting up there anyway as previously explained
