To be fair they didn't have to make any statement but the fact they have, and have criticised the actions of the * that threw it, is a positive.

The type of person that carries these devices and throws them is exactly the type of person that will deny any involvement if someone was to be injured, rather than being an accountable and honourable man.

As said originally all that was required was condem the * and deny it was them, if they felt the need to do that. The difficulty for the GB is condemning something that they think is acceptable, in part anyway.

Anyway mate, as Taz has pointed out in his thread, it seems that the subject makes some uncomfortable. Personally I would rather state my opinion than continually say * all :giggle1:

    * cheek of the club to make a statement about some * chucking pyro on the pitch when we had fans in Valencia getting battered by the police for no reason and yet no statement came out

I'm not a great admirer of the GB, I cannae be arsed with the political pish and the pyro stuff. My feelings were that they were a group that would do what they liked even if it went against the club, authorities or other supporters. But this statement suggests that they are concerned about their image being tarnished by * attaching themselves to them and are effectively calling them out. Positive sign for me.

I need to add that the GB do have positives as well. Some of the displays are superb and the food bank collections should be commended.

Hopefully the bhoys keep the pyros at home on Sunday and the headlines are about the fantastic performance on the pitch ?
