The wage bill is big, unfortunately, this is the modern game, we have money sitting and to push on some of that needs to be invested surely. I'm not talking spending to bankruptcy if that's the angle your putting over.

The key is to keep getting to a group stage whether it be CL or el if we do that and are not alone in qualifying then in theory it will get easier to get to CL one day but work needs to be down

They can bring in better quality while the wage bill stays the same by offloading deadwood and high earners who are not living up to their wage... Either by moving on letting contract fizzle out at end of season or giving a lower contract

Schrodinger's wage bill. When the board want praise we've got tons in the bank. When the teams playing pish we've got nae money.

Hope somecunt buys Lawwell a helicopter tour of the King Power stadium for christmas.

I’m just asking how much do you think we should be spending. We’re already at £60m which is more than enough.

Buying * players and having players who’ll never play for us isn’t being frugal. It’s just not spending the money on the right players which is a whole different arguement.

Quality over quantity. Some Celtic fans have bought the hun logic that our wage bill is unsustainable, we are wasting money on duds but we have more than enough to cover it. We’ve posted record profits two years running ffs which will be three next year as we’ll include 8 mill for Armstrong, 19 for Moussa and some more.

Our wage bill probably isn’t even in the top 40 in Europe. We could wipe easily 150k a week off it by selling deadwood like Allan, Lustig, Boyata, Bitton, Compper, De Vries etc plus at least half a dozen kids who need loaned out like Johnstone, Morgan, Aitchison, Dembele.

Like I said, quality over quantity. Dutch teams never spend big on wages, credit to them.

Anyway the latest data I could find was from 2016 and Celtic were 61st in a list of Europe's highest wage bills. We're probably lower now since every English Prem team has at least a 100 million headstart just from TV money. Plus Italian and German teams have seen somewhat of a revival.

More money to small clubs in England leads to poor house keeping if you look at what's happened with Stoke losses of 30 million pounds Bournemouth are the only exception to the rule and that's because they have a great coach and recruitment team everyone else is lazy their in that regards..... Will the player be * that's awrite if he is we got plenty of money this year rather than looking at the bigger picture and what could happen further down the line if they don't get things like that under control

Deadwood Lustig Boyata & bitton. :56:
You crease me. How are they deadwood when 2 are in the first choice category & bitton played quite a lot before injury.

You do realise to improve on them there’s a chance the wages will be higher & there may well be a transfer fee.

I do however give you compper etc.
