Seen it's being reported on sky news the old man isn't facing any further action.

And no matter how harsh it is that the burglar became he victim of his own crime and died for it, it's the right decision.

My only issue could be he's be allowed off due to his age, but if were me who committed the crime in order to protect my young kids and newborn I'd maybe not be given the same treatment.

It's the only part of American law I agree with, being able to defend your own home. * that * that tried to burgle the poor guy. Trying to defend everything he's worked for!

He's a big pussycat really. You're more likely to get an * probing than a knife to the heart.

This is the thing, these kind of situations makes us feel angry and get a lot of attention. In reality the burglar (is that how you spell it?) who died has really no room in court to win any law suit. In most crimes all parties are contained and after a resulution is agree upon action is implicated. The law works just fine and unless this old man hires his dog as an attorney he’ll get off Scott free as in any case similar to this. I’ve heard plenty stories about people breaking into houses and suing but it’s extremely rare they win. Its fun to get emotional about stuff though and it sells news papers.

A card left outside of the home of a pensioner who stabbed a burglar to death while defending his disabled wife has remarkably paid tribute to the intruder.

Henry Vincent, 37, died after being stabbed during a botched raid at the south-east London home of Richard Osborn-Brooks in the early hours of Wednesday.

Despite near unanimous public sympathy for Mr Osborn-Brooks, who was arrested and later released, one mysterious well-wisher said career criminal Vincent had a 'heart of gold', in the card, left along with some flowers, outside of the crime scene

His sister was on the TV. Could be her, or some other dumb bint.

Apparently the poor wee lad was a keen boxer in his youf ! he and his mate certainly met their match. They should have stuck to terrorising young shop assistants.

I think his mate stabbed him so he could keep all their swag.

Tributes to the traveller that were tied to a fence have all been cut down. They were put up across the street from the pensioners house. That is taking a big * Liberty. I don’t like to generalise but the travelling community are up in arms when treated unfairly. Maybe if they had more restrained measurements in place for the rogue families who give their community a bad name then they would be accepted a lot more. I know a lot of the traveling community in Belfast and whilst a lot are good people there is a large element of trouble makers.

the traveler's never got a look in during the troubles in our districts but ive heard now they are slowly moving into the areas and some are * wild. Just a few months ago a 12 year old traveler driving a stolen car with his younger brother who was in the passenger seat in a car seat crashed into my misses sisters brand new car and wrote it off. Both got out and run around to their house. The Ma came out with 250quid and asked not to tell the cops it as them
