    Are we the only team i see trying to zonal mark,it just does not work,i dont see any other big clubs doing it!!!

    Zones don't * score goals, players do. Never understood this absolute * system. At the end of the day if a guy has a run and a jump versus a guy who has a standing jump, the runner will always win.

    Glad this thread has been brought up, this zonal defending is a disaster and far too many mistakes are happening another thing I've not been too happy with is that on corners sometimes we have one man at a post and other times we don't always thought we coped better with a man on each post. I mean fs this is basic and our defence has been shaky for weeks cmon Ronny back to basics here and steady the back line.

    I'm pretty sure I remember reading some stats about great it was. Statistically it is better , but the problem is we don't have the (intelligen enough to * do it) players for it.

    zonal marking is stupid, 1 team will come up against celtic and will position all there players on the 18 yard box and have a shot at goal from a corner

    It's horrible to watch, and we are * at it.

    I always feel it gives the attacking player the advantage of running onto a ball against an almost static defender.

    Having said that, it's not just from set pieces that we look vulnerable at the back. Aberdeen put a good few balls into the box from open play yesterday and we hardly dealt well with most of them.

    Really weak part of our side right now.

    Drop this Zonal marking * right now, get back to basic * defending, defenders win tackles, win headers, stay on your feet when you need to, pass the ball to a green and white shirt when it's on, goalkeeper get out and collect high balls that arrive in your 6 yard box, * talk to each other, midfield start moving the ball quicker, wide men start being more positive, Broony get your * finger out and start bossing games again, Surely we can work on all of this in training during the week? If we don't then manager ends up sacked.

    Zonal marking has been our bane. It's pointed out every week that we're terrible at it, but it never, ever changes. Don't get it at all.

    Doesnt make a difference man or zonal when Charlie Mulgrew is your best central defender how * scary is that, this Croatian better have something about him or this EL campaign could be the most embarrassing 6 games in our European history

    we have got to be the fekkin worst zonal markers in the game , teams must love it lining up against us at corners and free kicks into the box .

    The problem is everything from top to bottom is a shambles at CP at the minute, a poor manager, poor coaches (i wouldnt be suprised if collins was undermining deila to try and get the job), poor players, the entire structure needs changing imo
