Matthew Anderson has massive potential but he’s just turned 17 so doubt he’ll get a chance anytime soon.

Best thing we could do for youth development just now is get some competent coaches in the academy.

  3. What position is he mate?

  5. What do you reckon of the chances of Montgomery at left back?

We could do with a few emerging now from the academy..

I don’t see him having any chance of making it here.

There’s some cracking talent in the academy but when you’ve got absolute charlatans like O’Dea coaching them then you’re already at a disadvantage.

Not even just us though, there’s some amount of young talent in Scotland we should be looking at.

Ethan Laidlaw at Hibs looks * sensational and is a massive Tim. Been on trial at Liverpool the last couple of weeks and tore Tottenham and Man Utd apart scoring in both games.

  7. His first touch looks exquisite..

Deffo need a revamp of the academy coaching staff..

He sounds similar to Bruno Davidson. Remember the talk of how many club's were after him..

Brooks and Summers along with Anderson are the 3 from that age group with the biggest chance I think.

Brexit coming in though means the EPL are going to raid Scottish clubs.

Always see people slating O’Dea as a coach but I’ve heard good things, is no any good at it or that? 100% just basing on what other people are saying but even judging off Celtic TV he seens tactically good and knows the mentality.

Would prefer more than just him but I like somebody like him about, to coach guys on the mental side of it. One of the biggest things at Celtic is to instill what it takes to play for us, and he’s always had that for me even when his ability wasn’t good enough.

    Awful is being kind.

McManus was horrendous and O’Dea has somehow took over from him and been even worse.

Each to their own but I always thought he’s came across as absolutely clueless anytime I’ve heard him speak about football. Wether it’s on Celtic TV or when he was doing punditry on the radio.

And i disagree about the mentality point as well. For me he was always out his depth and was a complete panic merchant. He had a nose bleed anytime he was on the ball.

If he’s good enough, he will get a chance with Ange. Ange doesn’t care who you are except that you are the best fit in the team. I’ve lost touch with who was coming through with the academy, but if I were the kids, I’d be out doing the one percenters because someone will get a look in this year and it’ll come out of nowhere.

I hope you are right, the conservatism under Lennon was astounding and depressing

When we brought Lennon back that was a real face palm moment for me. He’s so far from what a good coach/manager looks like it’s not funny. The players attitude reflected this.

When you see the fixtures, it's a stark reminder that if we aren't allowed to gain promotion (or they expand it in someway after this first season), then this is going to be an absolute waste of time as far as our development squad are concerned.

Guys like Luca connell, Dembele, O'Conner, Robertson, Henderson, are not going to learn anything from these games.

Literally be better playing 11 aside against each other at lennoxtown.

Are they not also grown men themselves though?

The standard of football, the lack of technical ability etc is subpar (absolutely no offence to the guys playing in these teams). It'll offer them nothing.

May as well just keep losing them to forfar, alloa and Morton. At least the standard is higher.
