    With all this talk about new defenders (mulgrew, du ri, campbell) and midfielders (bullard, ledley, lawrence) i think we're urgently needing a proper number 9 forward who will get us 25/30 goals a season... who this is i haven't a clue:rolleyes:

    Now that Keane has left and really disnae look like coming back who do you think will fill the goalscoring boots next season for us? Someone already at the club at the moment (rasmussen, fortune) or a new but affordable striker and if so who? :97:

    Kevin Phillips. I know he has just signed a 1 year extension with Birmingham but i would have loved to have seen this guy in the hoops. He may be 36 but i think he would still do a good job for us.

    I can tell you this right now we're not going to have a Larsson next season :56:

    I'd like to see Bellamy but I'd also like someone more permanant than a loan deal

    I meant who do you think will be ouras talismanic frontman who will score the majority of our goals, i know that we'll not see a player of Larsson's calibre for a long long time :50:

    Bellamy, he has said he won't move to another EPL team and does't want to move abroad, so that leaves us and Cardiff imo. And I really can't see him choosing Cardiff over us, if he was 40 odd then yeah he would move to Cardiff but he still has a point to prove and he still believes he can cut it at the highest level (Europe, if we qualify). I would like to see Lennon and his team at least approach him, just to show us how ambitious he intends to be.

    If Rasmussen is given his chance then he is very well capable of scoring 30+ goals a season for us. If we could get the right partner who would do all the dropping off, going wide etc. and leave Ras to do the poaching then he'll be successful.

    I see no reason our strike force couldn't be Rasmussen and Fortune next season. As much as Fortune wasn't prolific last season, it was quite clear he has alot of talent.

    if lenny cant secure a top class striker after his comments about wanting to keep keane.....its not a good start.
    i heard a rumour james mcfadden will be here and aiden will be down in birmingham.
    but i dont see mcfadden as an out and out goalscorer.....so square one.
