Who should take our penalties?

Two missed in a row from two different players. Something we need to improve on.

 

If he’s on the pitch Jota should take all penalties and free kicks

 

Ange was saying we have been practicing them so hoping that might identify some options.

If I was to guess, I'd say Jota. He comes across as someone who can take a bit of pressure.

 

Until last night I would have said JJ but now I'd put him 2nd choice behind Jota.

 

I think we also missed our last penalty in the league.

Last season v Livingston, McGregor hit the post.

I'm not sure if that counts as three in a row, given how few penalties we get, but it's a pretty awful record.

I'd let Jota take them.

 

I remembered McGregor missing one but wasn’t sure if we had scored one since then.

 

Jota or possibly Hatate

I'd like to see Hatate take them. But everyone misses them so I don't think JJ should be off them just yet

 

Penalties are about bottle more than anything else in my opinion.

JJ is usually pretty cool under pressure but last night he just looked nervous. Still happy for him to be taking them though.

 

JJ has been decent at them in general, if he's on the park he's still our no1 taker, not sure who comes after him though.

Juranovic should still take them. He's missed one but still has a good success rate.

When he leaves then it should be Jota.

Jota. I think he was the main man at penalties for Benfica B.

JJ won’t have suddenly gotten rotten at them overnight. He was nervous and poor all round yesterday, so there was no way he was scoring a pen.

That all said, just for confidence reasons at the moment, I’d have Jota first choice but still have JJ as clear second. No way he goes from our main taker to not an option over one bad miss.

 

I was * last night at his miss. Anyone can miss but I feel like he bottled it..

He had a 100%, 5 in 5 record before that though, including a panenka away at Leverkusen..

He's still number one..

I feel like Haksabanovic, Jota and Mooy all have the bottle and quality to take them..

 

Juranović still, will learn nothing if hooked off them straight away.

 

I’d still let Juranovic take them unless he isn’t playing then i’d want Jota to take them.

Calmac is a crap penalty taker and it seems GG is aswell

Thats the trouble with us hardly getting any penalties where as Tavpen has one nearly every game
