What happens if McCoist wins the League next year?

    Would Lennon get the sack?

Impossible to predict. I imagine most fans wouldn't be happy. There would be a few calling for his head.

Pigs will fly :56: only jokin

Depends how well we do again, its the performances and play that will dictate it, more of the same and theres no chance he'll be going anywhere.

Winning the League isnt the only thing that matters, what if we were totally * next season only got 82 points but won the League? Id be more depressed about that than were we to get 93 points and come second.

Last season was great seeing quality football played and the return of the confidence in knowing there was good players on the park and getting back into the 90+ points bracket in the League.

it would depend on the manner in which we lost it. if we'd played pish then maybe the board would have to take a look at it.....if its a season like the last were we didnt do a whole lot wrong.......it would be hard to get rid of the management team......but usually its dictated to by the angry mob with banners at the front door. who are a patient bunch arent they.

Right now we need stability, changing the manager all the time doesn't help and is a waste of money that we can't really afford. So even if we lose the league I'd give Lennon another year.

Not many managers survive two seasons without winning the League at Celtic and Rangers.

I feel it's a must win season for him, most of the team will now have had a season under their belt so we should be in far better shape this season for him to achieve this.

Also when the huns win the league on the last day we normally win it by a landslide the following season I'm predicting the same again.

in bold, really you would rather come second than first? the league is our bread and butter so you would rather hand rangers more money so we come second and feel better about, really don;t get that at all

Yet another negative thread started. Turn the question on it's head, What will happen when we win, will McCoist be sacked?
Let's all be positive about the upcoming season, we have a decent squad that will be added to; with departures being only the players that our manager has decided he doesn't need. I can hardly wait for the start of what I think will be a successful campaign.
    Hail Hail.

you cant really say, we might play really well next season and win just about every game but it may not be enough. on the other hand we may be very * next season and if this is the case then yes

Biggest lot of * ever. Winning the league is the most important thing. Especially as they have won the last 3. You don't get trophies for playing good football but coming 2nd.

Depends on the overall success of the season but if he lost the league a second time and did nothing in Europe he would have failed his remit and his position would therefore be untenable.

He would be the first to admit it though.

Winning the League is the most important thing, stop spreading this loosing mentalety.
The team that remembered in history are the teams that won something not the one who played nice.

This thread shouldn't been open coz we all know the expectation from Lenon.

Generally all the "what if" threads are shower of *, please end it.

Spot on. We need to have a decent Europa Cup for the confidence of the team. People say it's the League that matters but they do go hand in hand imo.
