What size of club do you class Celtic as?

After reading some of the comments about the potential managers we have been lined up with, I wanted to gauge how big people genuinely think Celtic are in the modern era of world football.

For me personally, we aren't that big, we have a big support and a rich history, but we have a small budget, play in a small league and any manager or player who is of a realyl high standard would not look twice at us, unless we offered them a king's ransom.

 

Big Club, Big fanbase, Big History. Small League, Small money, Small personel.

Nothing we can do about any of it.

 

Used to be big until whatever happened after MON left, and once the board put a tiny budget on things gone right down

 

We are as big and as a attractive as Newcastle United. In terms of history and support we are one of the biggest in the world.

 

We have history which would make many 'big' clubs envious. But we aren't that good like in the old days. I see SPL as the biggest obstacle in our developement.

All through our history we have been a big club with small thinking people in charge

 

Ahead of Newcastle/Everton but behind Barca/Milan.

 

nether, were bigger than Everton, villa ect, but smaller the Milan, Madrid ect

 

Some people are forgetting it's not only us. We are similar to PSV, Ajax, Feyenoord, Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, Porto, Panathinaikos, Olympiakos, Rangers, Galatasaray, Fenerbache, Marseille, Bordeaux, Bayern Munich, Lyon, and those kind of Clubs. We all come from different sizes of Country with differing amounts of money available thus we are all a bit different but we are all the biggest Clubs in our Leagues. The Italian, Spanish and English clubs are different as their Leagues are way richer than all of ours.

The likes of Ajax, Benfica, Olympiakos and Fenerbache are also struggling like us because all the players who we could once get are now all playing in the bottom half of the English, Italian and Spanish Leagues and now our Leagues are all of much lesser quality.

 

Where about as big as you can get
our football though is rather poor to put it lightly

 

Players would rather go play for west ham fulham etc rather than Celtic what does that tell you ?

 

The fact of the matter is were a 'big' club but our growth is stunted by the SPL, It's as simple as that.

 

If we were in EPL we may of been the biggest club going, but it is the SPL without a doubt holding us back, money and ambition wise

 

World class, stupid question IMO.

We're the only club in Scotland that's done anything of note. (in a footballing sense...:icon_mrgreen

Between good sized club and world-class.

 

We are a world class club, however we are not in a world class league and don't have a world class team!
