What kind of players do you guys think this squad needs in order to prepare it for Europe next season. Obviously going to write off Europe this season as I expect little to nothing from the Europa league as well.

I think we definitely need an experienced commanding centre back. While Van Dijk has not had a fine couple of games recently, there's no denying his potential. Ambrose on the other hand consistently makes mistakes and I don't think anyone really sees him improving, I certainly don't.

In midfield I think it has been impossible not to see how much we miss Wanyama in these recent matches. Silly fouls and failing to keep possession was a common sight against an average Polish side. I feel we need a similar kind of player to Wanyama, one able to protect our back four the way our current midfielders do not.

I'm also hoping that Forrest and McGregor both get slots in our team on either side and are able to attack, especially on the counter but we definitely need some back up for them. Boerrigter is not good enough to warrant keeping with the amount of time he is injured, never understood selling Maloney if this is the kind of player we are going to go for.

Some people are probably going to disagree on this but I would get rid of Stokes, perhaps Pukki and Balde too. Stokes is simply worthless in Europe, he's had plenty of chances to prove himself and apart from a decent match against Stade Rennes he has been less than effective. If the argument to keep Stokes is for the SPL then I would suggest that Griffiths would surpass him here. Pukki seems like he has something but he keeps getting dropped when he looks like he is about to get going, I was really hoping he would start again tonight. Didn't get a fair chance last time due to Amrbose red card. As for Balde, I don't care if he is "raw", he needs to go as I doubt we will ever see much from him. We urgently need AT LEAST one new striker, preferably in a different mould to our current selection, one with a bit of strength, pace and height.

What's your thoughts on what we need?

Attacking players. Attacking midfielder with good technique and passing and a decent striker, we don't have a single striker who can perform in Europe atm.

Completely agree, but I think we have shown that our defence is pretty poor too.

An experienced defender and a DM. Pace is more of a bonus, positioning is the key. Deila's crazy tactic needs to be dropped though, for this to make sense.

I'd rather sign * all than the pish we've been subjected to lately.

In an attacking sense I mean. Still think the back 4 (minus Izaguirre at times) is decent.

Obvious answer is one that will improve us. However I just don't know where he/they will come from given the money that we will spend....and before anyone jumps on 'The Board is tight' bandwagon, Nottingham Forest have just signed a 21 year old forward with a scoring record no better that Stokes or Griffiths from Peterborough for a reported £5m.

So if Championship teams are paying that money in the hope of getting into the EPL and teams in that Premiership get a guaranteed minimum dollop of money equal to what we generate for our TOTAL Turnover, just how much will it cost to get players in so we can,
    1. Win our League.
    2. Qualify for CL.
    3. Compete in the CL.

So, it isn't what type. It's what type of player given the crazy money that Clubs are prepared to pay, without any guarantee of success.

We need postions right through that squad.

CB - With VVD heading out and EFE lighting his crazy fuse more and more we need CB's. 2 beasty types pronto.

a Defensive Mid with large cojones.

Creative mid - Another magical Lubo or Naka would be * immense - but hey who am I to dream, where the * do you find more of them for a fiver? (I believe Peter will hand Ronny a score and say "I expect change").

Both wings (Gump/Derk just can't stay fit).

Striker - No brainer - We have Hitman Stokes, Mr Consistent. Griffiths who's a headbanger and Pukki who just looks scared.

I'd also chuck in a young talented Goalie because if Gordon gets injured (which is a possibility lets face it) then we will be fielding Zaluska (yikes).

Players with guts, balls, or whatever you want to call it. Players whose first instinct is to take a player on, not pass a ball behind him. + Pace.

Whoever Deila wants, if you want to bring in an idealistic Manager and back his philosophy then give him the tools he requires to complete the job.

The Board should be ashamed of themselves this morning, there wasn't even wholesale changes required just something more than a free transfer goalkeeper and a loan signing from a Championship club.

We need more hungry Scottish players who know what it's like to be at a club like Celtic.

We have missed out on some good Scottish players and we need to get them in. I would kill for a Heartly or a Robson right now.

    A LOT!

Basics..... an anchorman in midfield, a new number 9 and possibly back up too, then a wide forward with pace, a centre back or two and possibly a Forster replacement should he leave.

That's just the start, we'll probably need other squad options too. Deila's got a * of a task on him.......it's not helping with fans already seeing him as the problem.
