Just wanna say well done to the national side for getting this far.

IMO it's not a glorious failure because no one gave us a chance at the start.

the euro championships are a wee diddy tourney anyway :37:

Scotland were brilliant throughout, Georgia game excepted. You are right we led the best group in the tournament for most of the competition and it was in our hands up 'til the last. We saw the disappearance of England tops being worn and the nation get behind the team for a change, previously supported by die hards like myself and school kids. It has put us back on the international scene with our ratings climbing ever higher not unlike Celtic in Europe. We are seeded for the third team drawn for the World Cup groups. The only Scots not supportive are those who identify more with the English (DOB'S) and of course our plastic paddy's who ate colcannon once in an Irish theme bar.

Bring on the World Cup even though there is no way in * I will be able to go to South Africa ffs.

    WELL DONE LADS!

I can see some similarities between scotland and celtic. most of the time it gets very close against superior opponents, but still it ain't good enough to manage an exploit.

it's like you are in love with a girl but she only wants to be your best friend somehow.

Oh the irony, the person who scored so many great goals and gave us a victory in Paris was the same person to squander our best chance. That's just the way the cookie crumbles though I suppose.

All the players done us as a country proud.

It's no consolation now because Scotland are out but I think when you step back and look where Scotland were in the grand scheme of things going into the Euro 2008 campaign then Scotland have made massive progress. To perform at the level and achieve the overall results that Scotland did in a group with the World Champions, World Cup Finalists and a team who reached the last 16 at the World Cup Finals is clearly a sign that Scotland while not quite there yet have made tremendous progress and once again have a top quality national team.
