Was just watching match of the day there and Roy Hodgson was on talking about English players performance and after the man city game , Joe Harts name came up.

while talking about hart and his form, Fraser Forsters name came up and it seemed like the elephant in the room. GL was asking if he is sticking by Joe for the next 2 games and RH replyed that he would but then quite awkwardly, he asked him if he'd consider giving anyone else a go. Hodgson replyed that he has n that he gave that QPR keeper a chance at some point. he brought up the other English keeper up then said and then there's Fraser Forster, we like him. We've saw him for Celtic and in training. <~~~ something down those lines.

anyway, it sounds like everyone in England wants Forster to get a shot. I feel like that's why that question felt so awkward when liniker asked him. Hodgson made some good points aswell saying that keepers are under the spotlight more because of their position and that if a midfielder makes a couple of mistakes it gets unnoticed. This is true but as an England manager you have the option of 2 really good keepers, one who's on great form and thrives off of big games and one that is out of form and tends to buckle in the big games.

do you think Hodgson will buckle under public pressure if Hart messes up in any of these 2 up and coming important games they have?

Yes I took it that Lineker was pressing him to give Forster a chance.

Nah Hodgson will stick with Hart even though the big man deserves a chance. His resolve will be strengthened by the fact a lot of the media down there want Forster in as goalkeeper, caving in would make him look easily swayed...
