VVD Linked to Dynamo Moscow, Could we see him wanting to play in Russia?

Highly doubt he'd move to Russia. Then again, I said the same about McGeady.

The Russian always buy for silly money, try and drive them up to 20 million then we will sell.

 

only sell if we fail to make champions league.if we dont qailfiy then 12 million and hes theres to make the champions league money well be losing out on.

 

I really hope we get this 3rd Champs League in-a-row. It means too much for us and by getting another massive financial windfall in our pockets, we only take ourselves higher and higher up the platform.

VVD should really stay. I hope he does. We need him for the Champs League, it's that simple. He's the man to keep our defence in shape.

If we're lucky, we'll get a better chance of European football after xmas in either competition. Make more money, get more of our credibility back and see our players become more talented, experienced and valuable.

Van Dijk to United is the latest one. Doesn't seem the most believable article.

In truth I can't see it - Van Gaal didn't pick him for the Dutch squad so why would he sign him for United? (when he could have words with a supposedly better player from his Dutch squad and bring him in instead).

 

Yeah I don't see him going to United as well, if Van Gaal rated him so much he would have picked him for the Dutch squad.

 

Maybe, just maybe...

Van Gaal knew he's gonna be next Man. Utd. manager, and he was well aware of Van Dijk's potential (he was on his shortlist), but he knew that if he called him to national team. Celtic would demand much more money than they would now. Basically he didn't call him to national team so he could buy him at cheaper price.

Being linked with Southampton. Apparently Koeman urged Van Gaal to include him in the dutch squad.

There's lots of babes in Russia looking for affairs with western men. At least that's what the advert said. Might appeal to Virgil

 

I think that would be unlikely. If Van Gaal knew he was going after the WC, then he would want to do his best to win the WC. That means bringing the best players available to Holland to Brazil. He just though Virgil was not high enough in his list of Dutch defenders.

I really doubt Man Utd, Man City or Arsenal are genuinely interested. Southampton link seem far more realistic.

 

We can't sell all our players to Southampton, that would be unfair to the rest of the EPL

 

He still has 3 years on his deal it would take a pretty big offer to force us to sell imo.

 

Just because VG didn't take him to world cup, doesn't mean he woudlnt take him to man united.
Maybe he feels he isn't developed enough to win the world cup, but under coaching at united for a year or two, he can develop his game further.


That said, I doubt this is a possible transfer move for united. We always see the rumours of the big clubs wanting our players, then they move to Norwich, Southampton, villa, etc.
