Time for those to say that buying Paddy and Mc Ginn from a pub league own up, these 2 prove that the league of ireland can produce players. Yes im from Derry but I think we got 2 bargains, especially in the case of mc ginn we have got a big bargain. I know what Paddy can do, but its the usual problem 'injuries'. However I have seen him in full flight and he could grace the EPL when fit.Just hope they both can do the business for us. I do think the League of ireland is under rated league. Just look ...Kevin Doyle now Wolves....Keith Fahey Birmingham.....David Forde Milwall...Brian Murphy Ipswich...and of course Paddy and Mc Ginn Celtic. I think we should get a proper link with a feeder club in Ireland especially in the current climate we could get a few bargains!

Both still have alot to prove but they look worth the punt.

McGinn is looking good but i dont think McCourt will ever make it as a 1st team regular,i doubt he will ever get fit enough, hope he does tho.

Im from Dundalk and follow Dundalk home and away and yes their maybe a few good players in our League but most clubs like my own are very poor. From last season only Rovers and Bohs would give the likes of Kilmarnock etc a game but the likes of Sligo, Dundalk, Drogheda would get hammared every week. Yes their has been a few that went over in last few years, Fordes a GK playing in Leauge 1 hardley setting the world alight, Murphy wasnt produced by a LOI club as he played for Swansea for 3 years, so you named 5 players, 1 average League One GK, 2 Played in England years ago before playing with Bohs, 3 Fahey doing well at Birmingham but also played for Villa when was young so not produced by LOI, 4 Mc Ginn and Mc Court cant get a game at a * poor celtic, 5 Doyle Remarakble story...
So I dont agree with you at all!

think mcginn will make it at celtic. not sure bout mccourt but we'll make a profit on him so worth the punt. finding these players in LOI is rare though, best young Irish players go abroad early on so dont play in LOI much
