As we have various non Scottish league threads, I thought I'd intoduce another...any chance of a sticky on this?

    To open....

Llanfair United thrashed 10 man Talgarth today 5-0. (2-0 at half time)

Talgarth unfortunately had a man injured in the first half...and no subs so they had to play with 10 men.

Llanfair despite missing a penalty towards the end, took all three points to ensure they remain at the top of Mid Wales League Div. 2

Interestingly, around 20% of the support were wearing colours of Celtic, the Scottish SPL team who recently, against the odds, managed to progress to the knockout stage of the Champions League.

On behalf of Llanfair Ultra's I would like to wish Celtic all the best in their continuing marvelous achievement.

    Hail, hail. :celt_2:

Llanfair should also be added to the "Celtic's Friends and Foes" thread.

    Absolutely.

If we have threads devoted to the lower levels of the English league system I don't see why we can't have threads devoted to the lower levels of the Welsh league system.

Especially where there is a strong Celtic-related turnout among the supporter base. :50:

Yeh, how can they say that when the thread has only been issued tonight yet its been on top of "new posts" loads????

Personally, I feel like it drives a nail into the coffin of smaller leagues...something I never thought I would see on a Celtic forum.

If you take the island as a whole, the SPL is relatively small, yet TalkCeltic continues to support conversations from the SPL. ...interestingly.

A fellow Celtic nations league appears to be considered irrelevant, yet some two bit engirlish league gets a sticky.

Just because somethings popular, does it mean that it deserves more attention that something that's not?

I could as an example, refer to the 2nd World War, where in Germany facism proved to be popular.....did that make it right?

Disclaimer...I am not in any way trying to argue with or discredit Talk Celtic, I am merely trying to put an alternative point of view accross.

I do feel thought should also be given here to the idea of a Celtic league....
an idea that has been postulated upon before.

The fact that this thread hasn't been made a "sticky" to some may show a lack of respect for the idea....implying that TalkCeltic has its own political agenda (NOT saying this is the case, just putting forward the arguement,).

Celtic are my team, and always will be. But while my life is in a postion where I can't support them physically, I shall support them in whatever way I can.

I would hope that that transpires through this forum and that I can continue to promote Celtic through the Spar Mid Welsh League, however unpopular it may seem to some at this point in time.

Celtic has a support from many nations, many religions. To choose to isolate one of our closest neighbours is ( in my opinion) abhorrent.

There is even a thread on the hu......ha ha, can't ban me for that!

...a third div club who are predominantly facist......but they have a sticky.

    How???????

    Just because they're popular?

I bring my arguement back to Adolf,,,,,,and his popularity.

So Spar Welsh League might not be all that, but we're really working hard at building bridges here between Celtic nations. That surely is worth a sticky??

    Ein celtaidd genedl.

    Slainté.
