After the game yesterday, i took my wife and lad upto castlemilk to show the lad were i grew up,my old house and so on.

I noticed the high rise flats on Ardencraig road gone, forget the name of them, also my primary school gone, St Martins , the pitch from the school is still there but rundown,i drove up to St Martins chapel and to find it run down aswell, i was sad to see this apart from the flats been tore down and the roads in this area are shocking my beamer took a pounding.

Talk about "pot holes" there were holes on these roads that Giraffe's could play hide and seek in *

What does the Glasgow council say about this? is there other areas like this? any body from the Castlemilk area on here can shed any light on why there is no money being spent in this area ?

A lot places in Glasgow look like warzones, Possil, Drumchapel, Ruchazie and Springburn to mention but a few. Glasgow is home to 90 odd percent of Scotland's most deprived areas.

I am from castlemilk, Mitchellhill flats were blown up in November 2005. All the closes had the outside of them redone aswell but i can't think of anything else they have done

To be fair the council have spent quite a bit in Possil and Maryhill pulling down slum tenements and replacing them with newer ground level council houses (albeit cheap built), they`re a 100% improvement on what was there before. Still the same nutters living there though!
