I see this around alot of the Celtic FC sites. is Tims an Abbreviation for something? Also I see the word Hoops alot, is this just other names for the club? What Significance do these names hold?

    incorrect..

Tim is short for "Tim Malloys" - a group of catholic gangs in glasgow in the 1900's.

also Timothy would be classified as a catholic name.. (Tadhg is irish for Timothy)

    Andrew,

I'm from Levittown(Neshaminy) which is about 10 minutes from Philadelphia and about 2 minutes from Bensalem.

If you have a chance to get into the City try:

    Fado's Irish Pub
    1500 Locust Street
    215-893-9700

I'm new to this site and new to Celtic FC as well, I'm looking for a good place myself. Never know, You might pull up a chair and happen to be sitting next to me....Happy Holidays!!
