Yes i have read about this. It was written on Onet.pl
that Raymond Sparkes have met WGS and they talked about Szymkowiak transfer.

Well Mirek played with Majic for Wisla for many years and they like to play together (they're the best friends and it is their dream to play together again). This duo was amazing in Wisla and in national team. He is the biggest star now in Trabzonspor and one of the best players in Turkey. But I'm not sure if he is as good to play for the hoops.

On the other hand if he is a star in Turkey then why he can't be a star in Scotland. Turkish league is strong!

Can't say I've seen any of these players, so will just have to wait and see what develops. If Zuraw and this player get on well, can only be good news.

Isn't Szymkowiak a Centre Midfielder though? Can't really compare the 2 in that sense if that's the case.

Not sure about Szymkowiak, never seen him play. But Kosowski wouldnt be a good signing IMO, seen him play many times for Southampton and was nothing special, also are championship players really what we should be looking at considering we're in the CL next season?

agree... not sure about Mirek but I'll give him a support if he sign a contract with Celtic. Maybe he can manage to play well on such a high level.

Kosowski? Forget about him. Was good few years ago. Now he is poor as * and everything he can do is squawk.

hey dont ride off Kosowski, his a brilliant player. Great skill, can dribble, can cross very well with both feet and has a wicked shot. He was a vital part of poland qualifing for the world cup. Southhampton have hardly given the lad a chance, how can he preform at his best getting 15 minutes every couple games.IMO he would be a great signing. Cheap too.

    Pro's:
    1. good winger, can play aganist quality teams (2 assists against england in qualifiers) so he'll kill the SPL and should cope well in the CL
    2. should settle in fast with 2 other poles already here
    3. Southhampton will let him go and for cheap (im not to sure but i think his on loan to them, i might to check it up) either way what ever team owns him should let him go

    Cons:
    1. Isnt in great form, Started in a hand full of games for S.h but hasnt scored.
    2. Is known to have abit of an attitude problem..
    3. If he plays a * game, often keeps his head down and sulks, needs the support of a great crowd

Ok lets talk Szymkowiak.. again a brilliant player with great techinal ability. He can dribble, shoot and has pace. Id say his style of play is combo of petrov+maloney.. When playing for poland His a centre attacking mid and gets foward every chance he gets (due mainly to the fact that poland plays with a DM [sobolewski] and can afford to) He has been the most consistant player for the NT for years (along with Magic).
Runs allday like a dog and i cant remember the last time ive been disipointed with any of his performances for poland. His one of the most important players for his club and IMO (maybe a little polish bias) one of the best players in turkey. Check out the goals macel posted to get an idea of how he grabs his goals.

    Summing up...

    pro's:
    1. Fantasic player, could play is italy, spain, portugal
    2. Plays very very well with Maciej (they could easliy score 35,40 goals between them in a seaon)
    3. Would come to scotland due to being such good friends with maciej and the fact that another pole is here (boruc).

    Cons:
    1. Trabzonspor love him and wont wanna let him go
    2. If Trabzonspor do let him go, they might want abit for him (1-2 million euro)
    3. his 29..

If you wanna see these guys in action watch the world cup..

hmmm... it will be nice if we sign kosowski of course... he has a great potential but now he is weak and without a form. you should check him during WC2006 coz he will play for our NT for sure

Stop the banter Polish bhoys - Kurwa Mac!!!!

About Kosowski I can say he is pure class, but at this moment without form - once if you all can remember Coach Mancini from Lazio I think wanted him in his squad, now the coach from Kaiserslautern Wolfgang Wolf talked to him about coming back to Lautern and Kosowski will go!!!

About Szymek - pure absolutely class player - sorry - but Miras is better than Petrov!!! NOT A JOKE!!!

I can remember from some members here, as Magic started to play for Celtic they called him * and a waste of money - GETITRIGHTUPYA I said you will see him score and what happened????

He scored and how he does it!!!!

About Miroslaw Szymkowiak check this link:

    can I know why?
It's bit strange because we have never met and never talk to each other so...

Piekna opinie robisz polskim kibicom w ten sposob. Przychodzisz i rzucasz miesem na swojego rodaka... gdybym jeszcze cos Ci zrobil to bym pewnie zrozumial...

Szymkowiak sounds a class act, and it is great news if his agent has been in contact with GS. How do you pronounce his name?

Kowoski I'm not to sure about, he has been poor in the lower league in England but as we say in Scotland 'form is temporary, class is permanent' which if he is good enough might be the case.
