It depends on the case. I do support the NHS staff who are striking today, it sounds like they've been forced into this by the Tories who are blatantly lying about their reasons and reasoning in this case. Here's a great interview http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2016/02/08/jeremy-hunt-junior-doctor_n_9185024.html

On the other hand you get the London Underground who seem to strike whenever the vending machine runs out of Snickers.

Agree about the London Underground i remember reading that some of their drivers were on more than nurses and ambulance drivers , but i suppose as strike is the basic last right to refuse your labour then their action worked to get them what they wanted

My uncle was a train driver for 40 year down there, just retired a couple of year ago and hes absolutely minted. Absolute * though.:smiley-laughing002:

Shocking they're payed more than nurses who are saving lives.

Yeah, but is that really the fault of the drivers? Maybe the situation should be that nurses and doctors union reps fight a bit harder and smarter for their clients to get more pay, rather than the idea that drivers should get less?

Of course its not the fault of the drivers. Just pointing out that a person saving lifes daily gets payed less than a guy sitting in a cabin flicking switches, absurd.

It is absurd, and it's down to their Union (and them) for not fighting as hard as the likes of the RMT to get them what they deserve.

I do support them. They do a vital job and provide a great service. NHS has come in for a bit of criticism due to standards in the last few years. Surely the way to start sorting that would be to provide a happy workplace for its staff.

They do most certainly do a good job, but a starting salary of £21 000 is not exactly ridiculous. Same as teachers.

The Union of train workers obviously think the drivers deserve it,conditions ,unsociable hours ect.

As for the new doctors, I agree with the strike ,think there salary does not match the profession and the silly hours the government want them to do

You pick the field you want in life an no I don't drive trains but would love a go on a steam train :50:
