Probably soon after the end of June when the new deal kicks in.

 

If we are talking upgrading for more seats i don't see the point for 2/3 hun games and 3 or 4 games in europe.

 

Our stadium is iconic. I like the old stand. I'm sure there's an architect out there that is able redesign the existing structure. It needs to be supported from above and from outside, I'm sure it can be done. As a Celtic fan, I'm proud of keeping the reputation of being one of the most passionate fans in Europe. Depending on the opposition its a disgrace that they pay premium prices to be stuck behind those green pillars. It's embarrassing as much as winning on a European night. I like to think we send the foreign fans going back home thinking what an atmosphere and experience. They need to get rid of that * pre match disco light music that drowns out the atmosphere. And as for ten in a row or not, Celtic board can not justify the ticket prices... Its going to force a lot of people to watch partick thistle for a game of football its a joke. Apart from that i can't wait to get back!!

 

Bringing it up to 75000 /80000 capacity would benefit us as it would allow the attendances to be bigger for bigger games..
It would at least stop moany faced * complaining about not being able to get a ticket for a European match.
having 50,000 STH plus the supposed 17,000 waiting list ALL having tickets for a European match would still allow 13,000 away fans in or some away and some Non STH to get in.
It would also be a better stadium to hold CL or EL finals or even Euro/WC semi-finals/finals.
The only reason that it hasnt held a CL final or EL Final is because the SFA have the say on where it would be held.

 

I believe our stadium cannot be considered for the like of CL Final because team bus is unable to access under the stand.

 

I queried this with some people from Celtic and they said that its ONLY SFA that is stopping them from hosting a CL final.
Thought that was wrong but apparently not.

I’ve also heard people say the dressing rooms aren’t suitable.

But unless UEFA actually tell the public, nobody knows.

Someone published the criteria once, I was surprised the minimum capacity was only like 5,000

 

The one reason I know we can't hold a final as there isn't an underground access point, unless the City Chambers tunnel is used!!

 

The dressing rooms definitely aren’t eligible. For a final both need to be a certain size, which our away dressing room falls short of.

 

Pretty sure there’s something about the media room as well having to be a certain size, which ours isn’t.
