Aside from injuries obviously but would you change this side?
Like everyone else I thought it was a fabulous result and I'm interested to see if you think this is the blend we should stick with - even if a bad result comes in, would you change it? I'm not a fan of rotational - you play your way into * you get yourself out of it (unless absolutely useless) but when you've found a team unit I'm minded to stick by it. Hail Hail. (funny how * a mood I'm in and its not a friday...happy days)

Yes because its a winning side and we have to keep that starting 11 cemented. But I would like to see other good players get a game but hopefully Lenny doesn't change much. Such as 1 out and another in for the next game depending on how big the game is and where we are playing. But the team we played yesterday is clearly our best team. Except Mulgrew at CB.

Well that's the first game that particular line-up has played together. Good result, but should we be choosing our base line-up for the next four months on the basis of a single game? I mean, the 2-0 at Ibrox was probably a better result - shouldn't go with that team till the end of the season?

Basically I'm not in favour of sticking totally with a single line-up. That's what MON did, and imo his inflexibility cost us two league titles, because his team of favourites tired so badly towards the end of the season.

I would like to see a consistent base unit, but also resting players freely when they need it. We have the playing resources to do it: we've got undoubtedly the deepest squad in the league, & that's what will win us the title, if we take advantage of it. Rangers and Hearts have decent teams, but their squads are shallow.

My favoured base line-up would be:

    Forster

    Wilson---Maj---Rogne---Emilio

    Forrest---Kayal---Ki---Ledley

    Stokes----Hooper

bringing on Paddy &/or Freddie 2nd half.

Same but bring Forrest over to the left and stick Brown on the right:celt_2:

I'm willing to compromise - let's play Forrest on the left, and stick a pie supper out right. :56:

    My team would be -
    Forster

    wilson---------maj------------rogne---------izaguirre

    Forrest---------Kayal----------Brown/Ledley-----Commons

    stokes--------------hooper

subs: Zaluska, Loovens, cha/Juarez, Brown/Ledley, McCourt/Ljungberg, Carey, Samaras

That leaves no room for Maloney, cha/Juarez, McCourt/Ljungberg, mcginn, crosas, murphy, mulgrew..definitely plenty of strength & depth in the squad..As i say..5 or 6 players need to be moved on in the summer to balance things out.

I think that's our strongest line-up as well.

The main core of the team should'nt get touched unless its through injury but not every team play the same way so things must change ,Being Celtic though these changes normally happen from Midfield to the Strikers and Lennon seems to have plenty to choose from in the Midfield anyway ,but nothing to drastic needs done if the team are winning .

Players will need a rest and others deserve a chance to play too. Not advocating Benitez style squad rotation but changes will need to be made at some point.

    Players can lose form.

How much p/w is this pie supper on, btw?

Not necessarily. I still think Maj/Rogne is our best centre back pairing. However, Mulgrew deserves a place in the team IMO, only problem is we have one of hte best players in the country in Izzy. We definitely need Izzy playing at LB, Kayal in CM and Hooper & Stokes up front. I'm not sure which players might make up a strongest XI apart from that.

    I think that we'll still see a fair ammount of rotation but our first 11 should be;

    Forster
    Wilson - Rogne - Maj - Izzy
    Brown - Kayal - Ki - Forrest
    Stokes - Hooper
Still, I think our depth is our strength. I'd be happy to sub in Ljunberg or Commons for Brown/Forrest, Juareze or Crosas in for Kayal/Ki, Cha in for Wilson, etc. I think everyone knows that the only spots we're shallow at are center-half and center-forward. Murphy shouldn't be let anywhere near the park so I'd like to see Keatings get an occasional run-out if we don't bring someone else in. Mulgrew played great last night but it'll be interesting to see how he does against a tougher challenge.
