Seoul’s Midfield Maestro the Ki to Celtic’s Secret?
Ahead of tomorrow’s crucial encounter against Arsenal, reports today are indicating that the Bhoys have a new transfer target in their sights – highly rated South Korean International Ki Sung-yong.
Yong – capped 14 times, despite his young age of 20 – is widely renowned as one of Asia’s top prospects. While his league side are far from keen to sell at this moment in time – general manager Kang Myong-won openly declaring “this is not a good time for us to sell,” it is clear that a move to the SPL giants may prove too tempting for such a talented young man.
It is understood that officials from Celtic will meet with Ki’s agents in the next 24 hours in London, to discuss a possible move. Exciting times lie ahead for Celtic and their fans, both on and off the field.

“His team mate Lee Chung-Yong joined Bolton, and both are rated quite highly. Since he spent some time in Australia there shouldn’t be as much of a language barrier and / or culture shock either.”
Orthodox Celt
“I wouldn’t mind seeing him here; we could use someone from Asia for our market there, and I hope he has what it takes to succeed at Celtic.”
