    Does anyone else think that now Kayal and Ledley are getting back to full fitness we should send Scott Brown for surgery and get him sorted once and for all?

    All these painkilling injections IMO are a gamble and having to constantly miss days of training and play 2 games then miss 1 is not ideal, especially for our captain.

    His condition has been descriped as 'degenerative' so I don't think surgery will fix him for good. It's a condition that's going to affect him for the rest of his career.

    i think its best, they keep it the way it is. It keeps the fans happy Can you Imagine what this would do to our support should we get beat, and having no one to blame for It. Hes no playing, and with him being out, we would have won the Game it is always said on here almost every week. Most of us prefer it that way. At times when we can all argue the toss, and then say. Chin up its no the end of the world. take that away from us and we will struggle maybe even all fall out with one and other

    If only it were that simple.

    He's going to have to live with it and in all honesty his movement actually looks better recently rather than worse.

    His ankles have always been like jelly, even at hibs, I doubt surgery will fix it.

    Never mind what's best for Celtic, that really isn't the key consideration anymore. Scott Brown will have a life after football and it would be awful if that was ruined by pain and a lack of movement in his hip. The club needs to follow the medical advice it is being given and they should do whatever is in the best interests of Broony's long term health.

    It's a shame that this has happened but I suspect Broony's days of training normally and playing every week are over.

    Agreed. It's a short career and (hopefully) a long life after.

    Broony is so gung-ho that I think he'd be liable to play thru it - the club needs to take a firm line and put his health first.

    I'd like to see Scott's reaction to you telling him to go to surgery, when we're in the middle of our most testing competition since he's been at the club. :smiley-laughing002:

    He can rest up in Winter, assuming we don't survive our group.

    So much ambiguity surrounding Brown's 'condition.' There have been very mixed messages as to whether it's permanent or can be fixed by operation.

    His performance against Benfica was class. One of his best in a Celtic shirt I felt. As you say there seems to be no easy fix for his hip situation. More it looks like it's a condition Celtic just has to try and manage as best as we can.

    As long as its not permanently damaging him (you would think the club docs would not allow this) then I think we keep on as it is now until the CL campaign is over. He really rises to the big game and was sensational in the last game, giving a performance that no midfielder in the world would have bettered. He really looked like a world class defensive CM in that game.

    I'ts becoming obvious that his condition is going to have to be managed so lets not have him playing in that lost cause that's Scotland.

    * * mate.

    I bet Xavi and Iniesta watched the game over a cerveza and waxed lyrical about wee Broony's performance. :52::56:
