I dont feel that robert mchendry (the fan that ran on the pitch). Should take all the blame for the incident yes he ran on the pitch and touched dida who then took a big dive.but where was the security or the police NOT DOING THERE JOB!!
celtic park is a big ground and this was a big game and no doubt celtic would have been paying big for security and police

He shouldt of been trying it in the first place!!!

The stewards had a ahrd job because they had to run and stop thte players getting near the fans and cannot be in 2 places at once

    exactly champs.
just because theres not a steward that means its ok to run on to the park? * off.

if you walk into a shop and the shop assistant is in the back, does that mean you HAVE to steal?

He should take 100% of the blame, the police and stewards should not be held accountable for the actions of bampots that think they can enter the field of play. I hope he is as genuine as he seems because he's jeopardised something that himself and millions of others hold dear and that is Celtic Football Club.

i agree that its 100% the fans fault. although i was at the spartak game and i was sitting on the front row where it looks like he came from behined the goal and when i was there was 2 coppers and a couple of stewards watching the crowd. i would hope the people that the club is hiring to watch the crowd would be trained and able to handle this kind of thing.

if you owned a nightclub would u hire bouncers that couldnt maintain some degree of order?. would you goto a club if this were the case?

its easy to say this guy is a total * and whats hes done has disgraced the club but surly there are measures in place to stop this kind of loutish behaviour

We had just scored a last minute winner against the European Champions and there was bedlam with a huge surge towards the players in the opposite corner which drew most of the stewards towards it.

If someone is daft enough and determined enough to get on the pitch, they will. The fans have to take some responsibility for their own actions.

There are allways a ring of police and stewards around the pitch 5mins to fulltime, but that night there wasnt and specialy for a big game like that so Celtic will have to explain there self, as for the fan hes an idoit he shouldint have done it but i blame him and the security at CP.

at that time of the incident the security should have been at it's strongest with maximum control from the police and the stewards, obviously there was a gap in the chain for a * to mess things up

i am not saying the fan was right to run on the pitch like he did but i am saying the police and the stewards should be doing there job better and to the person that said all the stewards were trying to stop the players going near the fans well put it this way the fan should have known better not to go on the pitch well the players get paid thousands and they should know better not to go into the fans or near the fans so that comment is a load of bull

i'd say stopping anyone in that corner get on to the feild was AMAZING considering the boards collapsed. JOB WELL DONE IMO stewards in that corner. there are not 60,000 stewards.

He was an arshole,,,,, however another slant on it...

If the players had not gone to the fans in the corner, it may never have happened... players normally get bookings for this type of action, to avoid this senario.

Aw great, we're blaming the players now. FFS the tadger came out the opposite corner from where the players ran to.

You can have as much security around the park as you like, the players can run to corners all day, but that idiot should still not have been on the park.

60,000 other fans controlled their emotions enough to stay where they were, so he could have did the same.

Another slant on it is what I said ... not blame! Just a wee point. :50:

Its well documented the * was bang out of order, and if anyone is determined to get on the pitch... he will do unless we bring back the cages which wont happen.

Exactly.....He should have shown his joy at the goal and result the same way the rest of the crowd did.......No need to resort to * behavour to celebrate the goal.

Nothing will ever take the gloss over such a victory, especially not a drunken * like him.
