Does anyone know what the situation is with regards to our season tickets and having probably having no Old Firm games? The way I see it is you can sit in half of the Lisbon Lions stand at a discounted rate because you don't have Old Firm games so why should we pay the full amount with no Rangers in the league! I personally pay £630 for my season ticket and im not really willing to pay that to watch St Johnstone, Aberdeen and Hibs etc, I only buy the season ticket as a guarentee of the 2 Old Firm games a year because you can buy a ticket for just about any other game with ease!

I see your point but if there is a potential loss of income through TV money, then can the club afford to see another revenue stream reduced???

The sorry mess that is FC Newco should have been resolved a long time ago in order to allow clubs & supporters to plan for the season ahead...

    Hail Hail

There will be some incentive with regard to the European matches I'd imagine.

Far point, but the potential revenue loss isn't the fans problem! We put our hands in our pocket year after year as it is! I just don't think you can have "special season tickets" at a discounted rate because they don't have the old firm games when none of us will be getting them!

I'm a bit miffed at the lack of signings this far, the players are back at pre season training next week and we haven't signed a single player and let go a good few! It's as though they are accepting the league is won next year and not showing any ambition for the champions league which I believe is the key to keeping a lot of our players!

Mairilouise this is an issue until it is set in stone the club can't act upon. Namely with no SS FC the cost of a ST will have to be adjusted accordingly. I'd imagine though the club will rather than issue refunds come to some sort of deal just as Hammer suggested above. Celtic like every other club are not going to be stupid and make ST holders pay more than the cost of buying on a game by game basis.

I know many people buy or bought ST's to guarantee a ticket for the derby games but many also like to go every week and sit with their friends local CSC etc and so a ST is not just about the ex hun games. Plus of course a ST gives you the chance to get away tickets.

Unfortunately I'm not in a position to be able to afford a ST but if I could I would no matter who was in the league we play in.

I'm sure there was mention in the small print that purchasing a season ticket was on the provision that the club doesn't know what is happening with Newco.

It would be good if the club offered us something back as in get in free to another European game or money off in the club shop.

I feel its only fair they do something.

I can completely understand supporters not wanting to pay as much for their season ticket if Sevco FC are not going to be in the SPL. I just hope those same supporters are going to show some understanding when the club doesn't spend much on new players due to their season ticket revenues being down.

    Exactly.

You can't lobby for the huns to be kicked out and then start crying about ticket prices once it happens.

We may be losing a good few million without the huns and we sure as * aren't guaranteed UCL money. Ticket prices need to remain the same.

To be honest I'm happy to pay it under the understanding Celtic will vote No. Think about it this way. If someone told you last year, give us £70 and you'll never have to see Rangers or an equivalent for the foreseeable future would you pay it? I would.

I'll still quite happily give the money over to Celtic to watch them play.

The way I see it is, they'll probably lose money not having the huns, as it's the only game we get a full house. If it helps fund the club, buy players, or keep one less employee on the payroll, then it's all good with me.

Off on a tangent, but I read a phone-in and some * says 'I won't be back to Parkhead because I only go for the Rangers games'. Would rather be rid of them because they aren't supporters.

if we were to sell ki and vic thats a poss 12-15m and we could clear debt and still have some to spend on players, its all ifs and buts i feel tho the whole support must come together in supporting the club as we all said no and know there could be a drop in revenue due to this,we could raise money by selling 1 or 2 and bringing more youth thro

I remember in the info on the season ticket letter, when talking about the types of ticket it said something about games against rangers 'or a successor to them'. That would suggest that the 'special' tickets won't be valid against club 12, but the letters were printed long before we knew what was happening with the newco so I can't see that actually being the case. I don't think they would now raise prices for the special tickets, since most will have already been bought, but I could see them lowering all the other prices and returning some money and then raising prices next season.

I will miss the derby games.

I was against the 'no' vote.

In my opinion, anyone who buys a CELTIC season ticket with the sole proviso of watching two games involving Rangers have very questionable motivations and reasons for calling themselves a Celtic 'supporter'- to put it mildly.

    Let the people sing,
If we get to the group stages of the CL then the money spent for the two derbies should be used for two group stage games meaning we only have to pay for one more ticket. And if its the EL we end up in then the ticket cost for the two derbies should cover those three home EL games. If we get bumped out at the first hurdle with no european games, then they will have to give some form of refund.

I'm just happy they are getting booted out and if the wee bit extra goes towards making up the shortfall i'm all for it.

I would think that the price of tickets would have to go down a little to make sure that the season book is not more expensive than buying one ticket at a time. Otherwise buying season tickets would make no sense.
