used to stick up for him like a lot of people but no way is he a captain.....theres only 1 person at celtic who should have that armband and both times he hasn't played we have been even worse than usual.boruc.he is the only player who gets in about the team when they are playin * and we need more guys like him next season or we are well and truly *.mcgeady,brown...............good riddance

Not good enough , never will be and never a captain in my eyes , he's a player that could leave and we would never notice he is gone .

I'd like Brown replaced but Im half expecting he'll be seen as a key figure in the next managers plans in pretty much the way Mowbray promoted him to captain..
If it wasn't for the disaster of the Mowbray experience - then I'd be all for a new manager coming in and saying straight away what Lennon and Mowbray did about players not being good enough , and going a step further and saying he'll listen to offers for every player and that he intends to build a team in his own manner , including instilling a captain and a completely new attitude , and if that means progress at a rate which gets disheartened fans back onside , but still isn't quite good enough to reclaim the title next season then a bit more patience will be required but I can't see fans who wanted Mowbray out , buying into any long term plan..

I don't see a guaranteed quick fix without taking a hun like gamble of spending £25m over 2 seasons like walter smith done on his return , but yes , sell Scott Brown..

  4. Get rid of him and McGeady. They both think they are too big for the club. Brown should never have been made captain.

in all honestly except keane, hinkel, boruc, kamara and maybe crosas,if we sell any of the current squad the names above in bold would be the only ones i reckon wouldnt be playing at championship level or below

I brought a friend over to their first ever game on Saturday, he asked me who the captain was so I told him Brown and he said no I know his name but which one is he shouldn't the captain be the one that's motivating the team and leading by example, pretty much summed it up for me why he shouldn't be anywhere near the team never mind our captain. I would say he's a headless chicken, but that would be an insult to headless chickens.

Done *-all in his 3 seasons here, how he got one of the POTY awards last season beggars belief, had a handful of good games and was pretty mediocre the rest.

He doesn't score goals, he doesn't assist any, he doesn't make any defence-splitting passes, he offers little support to the defence, what does he actually contribute? :38:

I have stuck up for him for so so long now - despite Hammer's urging for me not to.

Close to nearing the end of my tether in that regard. By Christ, he did * all on Saturday. Again.

I hope the club make a statement saying all the players are available for transfer , Then theese guys will realise how lucky they are to play for Celtic earning more per week than most of us earn in a year .

So could I if I played for Celtic. You have to wonder if he's giving 100% to the club when he has many good games for Scotland, he's a totally different player for the national team.

Brown the Clown. He even walks around the pitch like one, that and his mouthing off at opponents and refs is all he contributes.

    Raffle him.

He must be delighted with himself how most of the flak has gone to the usual suspects (the likes of Samaras and Fortune).

I've been more than patient with him as well, I thought on top of his game he was unstoppable (if a little goal-shy). Where is the top of his game now? He seems to have peaked in his early 20's...

He doesn't have the desire, determination or tactical nous for a Captain imo...

A total fraud who contributes nothing at the best of times, all he's good for is winding up the opposition. I couldn't believe we paid £4M for him, a total waste of money.
