SANTA PONSA

So yeh everyone does anyone go to Santa ponsa for their holidays? I go almost every year for the last 7 years haha love the place ! Only thing is we usually just wing it in terms of who's playing when we get there we just take ️a ️️wee walk around and find out although Charlie and the Bhoys have a residency over there IV only caught them once in my time going, last year we saw shebeen and Gary og Aswell as Karl Byrne all very good but does anyone have any detailed info about the the others that play there?


Btw if you haven't been to Santa ponsa really highly recommend it it's just fantastic for everyone for you and the Mrs or for a lads getaway or a family trip you have a quiet bit for couples and family's and a party bit for younger crowds also magaluf is 5 euro in a taxi ✌️Your basically on the beach no matter where you stay. Also all you food nuts and chefs out there the seafood is the best iv had not to mention a restaurant that serves the best steak in the world

 

What's the Celtic connection to Santa Ponsa?

 

Been loads of times as well, but went last year and it was terrible, stayed at the deya apartments and it was the worst place ever, was a * hole. It's put me off.

 

A lot of my family are the same as most above, go every year and some have been going for over 10 year and go a couple times a year..

I've done it the once, convention a few year back. Niall McGinn was there on crutches and still playing for us, over with Sammy clingan and we had st pauli in a friendly in Germany. Maybe Germany was the choice of trip that week as whilst I had a good time getting * up, the rebs and all the rest of it, it wasn't great and a bit of a dump I thought..

Said I'd never go back, haven't been whilst all mine keep going, probably would give it another go though..
Few good bars, wee one down the steps is good during the day and nellys or whatever it's called upstairs has all sorts in it

 

It was horrific and we were only there for a * up, never even went to pool once and the room was filthy and never cleaned once

 

Is that where the bands are?

To be fair I wasn't up that bit much, ended up half a trek up the strip..

 

Went last summer with 8 of my friends.. Was * brilliant We lived in Green Hills and Basment

I'd love to go back

 

I will still go back, just stay away from the deya

 

Iv stayed in the pionerro the jardin the punto del mar and sister hotel of the Santa ponsa park, but the best was the punto del mar the celts well shid be in the gallagate they threw us an engagement party last year for free bottle of champers n that Karl byrne dedicating a few songs to us n stuff but I'm tryin to get info on when n where the others play other than dirty nellys n the dubliner

 

Was there on a stags last year.

Cant tell you much about it though.
