Because it hurts our pride as a team when * leave us for dross. Not to mention the better a club he goes to the more attractive we are to other players.

I actually think there's a good deal of truth in this rumour, they will have only seen him play well in Europe, rather than standing with his hands on his hips looking forlorn in Paisley.

Hope he goes, will be the best thing for all 3 parties.

Also people like certain players so are happy to see them move on to a good team if they're not going to be playing for us

How in the name of * has Samaras managed to wing his way into this even being a possibility?

When Sammy is at his best he is outstanding.

It is his level of consistency that is the problem.

    You're correct.

    From Footynews24.

Never thought they would be in that level of debt, some the sales they have made aswell?

HAHAHA! This rumor is the best joke of the century. Samaras has no chance to play for such club. He has sucked big time for Celtic in the last 6 months, how does anyone expect him to be able to take a step up? At that age, with those skills and with that level of arrogance?

    Torquay United sounds more likely

Away to *. They'd be lucky to have him.

  11. I have a notion that Sammy would absolutely flourish at a team like Madrid.

If this is true it`d be a great move for the big chap and would nt hold the embarrassment of him moving to Hull or some other shithawk club

Don't think he is good enough for them personally.

If Samaras wants to move on, he has my best wishes. Samaras has done a great job at Celtic, however he is not a prolific striker, which is what Celtic need. Samaras is great playing on the left wing. If Samaras wants to keep playing on the left I hope he stays. However I trust Boerrigter needs to develop there. If Samaras wants to leave, I would sell him in January and get a transfer fee, which can then be invested in new players.

He has my best wishes if he does move on this month. I personally think it's only a matter of time now, and he might even have played his last game for us already.

As long as we can sign a tricky winger this month to replace him, I'll be happy. There's no doubt that he's been a very good servant to the club for the past six years, but consistency is always going to be a problem for him.

At his age now too, Lennon and Lawwell are probably thinking that it is time to replace him with someone that is a few years younger, as we know that the policy of the club now is to develop and sell for a profit.

The style of play that Simeone has installed at Atletico only makes the rumour about them being interested in Samaras even harder to believe. They are an extremely hard working team, who press the ball all over the park. Samaras doesn't exactly fit into the category of an extremely hard working player.

  20. Looks like he won't be going to Hull since there about to sign Jelavic and Shane Long.
