Hopefully that ends the Aiden McGeady to Sunderland rumours, although I thought him signing a 5 yr contract in the summer would've done that.

I'm a bit ignorant of the whole Sunderland situation tbh. Why was it so unsurprising? Apart from spending zillions and still being shitem, I mean? Is there anything else going on there?

(Forgive my ignorance but living abroad my only contact with the world is the internet, and then Sunderland is usually about 142nd on the eye-catching news list...)

This is why a dont want him in charge of us ever!!! He walks away after spending 75 million>>>> he built a * squad that cant defend, his signings were poor with the exception of jones, and richardson his management was poor and he got to * when the going got tough!!!!!:icon_mrgreen:

Personally, I thought he done a great job at Sunderland. When he took over, they were rock bottom of the championship. he took them straight into the EPL and then kept them up comfortably.

That's a pretty great achievement for someone who has no experience whatsoever. He should become a coach at United or something, learn a lot from SAF and then go back into management.

I think he is a good manager but maybe he went to the premiership too quickly.Another chamionship club and in a few years he will be back to the prem.

In the last 8 months, everything went sideways for him. He's own doing too.

He should go back to Ireland and coach Cobh Ramblers and learn that way how to be a good manager.

You really dont know much about the current state of affairs at Sunderland. Several players under contract arent even playing reserve football and they are being paid very well too, he has spent more than most clubs in Europe and they are 18th in the table. He has left them in a bigger mess than when he started
