I live far enough away from Parkhead that I can only make it to two or three games a season

How * are Celtic to watch right now? * woeful.

I've just booked my tickets for the Hearts match in a few weeks time. Good seats. £34 a pop. * *!!!

£34 to watch this pile of * play against an even bigger pile of *?!!!

I suppose it's mugs like me that allow the board to get away with charging prices like that. But when you can only get to a couple of games each season you are willing to pay a bit more. * rip off though. It really is.

I feel like I've just had my pockets dipped. These * better turn in a performance and pump the Jambos. If they don't, then meet me outside the front door. I'll be the short * protesting like *!!! :56:

Yeah thanks for that tip.

I don't know where you live but I'm guessing you're a lot closer to Celtic Park than I am. Going to one match costs me hundreds of pounds but I do it because I love my team. But I still have the right to feel ripped off.

You gonna tell me that £34 to watch Celtic v Hearts if value for money?

    No * way.

i do agree with you mate its a rip off but only way it will change is if no one buys them at that price.

I feel paying 5 pound to watch us just now would be a rip off :56:

ps im a 5 minute drive from celtic park. were are you from ?

    Well yer a lucky * then! :smiley-laughing002:

I'm living in the Shetland Islands. There's no point in travelling down for a game then going straight home. You have to make a weekend of it. So going to a match costs four or five hundred quid, once you throw in travel, accomodation, beer, etc.

Wouldn't mind so much if the football was good but it's * bad right now. Last game I was down for was 0-0. If it's 0-0 again, I'm gonnae riot!! :smiley-laughing002:

The prices aren't going to be lowered because we're playing pish. Can't see Lawwell saying 'Bore draw at Accies last week, better knock a fiver off the Hearts game'. :smiley-laughing002:

£34 is too much no matter how we're playing, only acceptable if it's the Champions League. Prices are a pisstake domestically, you could pay that much to see your favourite band in a sellout concert who only come to your city every few years yet Celtic have around 30 home games a season. Paying that amount for a 90 minute match every 10 days on average for 9 months of the year just isn't on. The Season Tickets are too costly too, with few incentives.

Premiership games should be capped at £20, with the exception being Sevco when they make their debut in the league next season. They're quite clearly aren't going to be adjusted anytime soon though.

Did Hearts tickets not used to be £28 ? Why are they putting prices up for domestic fixtures ?

Not been to a game this season, won't be back till something changes. Was toying with taking my wee step brother to the Morton game since he's only been to one or two games, but money is better spent elsewhere.

if anything the prices will be going up next season, a shambles from top too bottom, on and off the pitch.

    Yes it is.
And a lot of us are to blame.
They prey on our loyalty, the fact that a large majority of us will pay the price to follow Celtic regardless. The fact that we love Celtic.

Unfortunately they misplace what that love is and as a board, they never show it back.

While folk are still buying season tickets to line the pockets, and match days are making up a tidy extra, the board will do * all.

They wont reduce prices "frozen for next season" is a hollow geature. They wont invest.

As long as we buy in to their * they will assume we are happy with their *.

Only thing that matters to this board is money and a balanced bank balance.
So the only thing that will make them take note is a massive hit to that.

I hate to suggest such a thing as not buying tickets or attending matches, as it is something I really wouldn't like done. I hate seeing celtic Park so empty (but St are sold, so that makes no difference to board), but its gonna take a boycott of that level - no St purchased - to get this board to act on our behalf.

Even then any gesture they do will be temporary. I feel we need them out for real change in prices, investment, management etc.

Same, and I feel bad saying things like above because it comes across to some as "easy for you to say"
But im guessing your not a local either and come from mainland and no doubt previously had a st or able to attend games more frequently as well.

I wouldn't say it was mugs like you that 'allowed' the Board to get away with charging high prices, no. They're aiming more at the people that will go fortnightly rather than bi-annual.

£34!!? * me. Just last season it was £29 for the 'glamour' game against Aberdeen. Padded seat or not, that's a pure joke.

Maybe because it's the most exciting finish to a season in years? We're in a tight title race with ten odd games to go, and we're still in the Scottish cup? :icon_mrgreen:

Joke - would never pay that to get into Celtic Park. Just pure robbery from the board.

A would be cracking as well if i had to get a boat to sanfrancisco a flight to glasgow international and then pay 34 a ticket not including your taxi or bus from the airport, :50:

In all honesty £34 a ticket is scandalous and the people who set the prices should be placed into your residence!!

Aye that game was the last game I was at. I'm pretty sure the tickets were £29 for that match. The seats I've got this time are better seats but I was not expecting the price to be over £30!

I can quite understand why there are more and more empty seats these days if that's the price for tickets. £34 to watch us play Hearts really is not value for money and if folk are having to stump that up every fortnight then it's * expensive. As I said, for folk like me who can only make it to a couple of games each season you just take it on the chin because it's a treat just to get to a match. Still a rip off though.

If the club reduces the prices then they reduce the spending...and yes i know we are * just now but that is down to the manager and not our spending, think of them spending even less....willow flood would our marque signing.

To be honest, I'd be less inclined to spend that kind of money if the games were meaningless. If we were 15 points clear and it was all tied up then why bother?

As it is, we're in an actual title race. This is what a lot of folk wanted not that long ago.
