With our squad at the moment containing a lot of new faces, and a handful of veteran players, who do people expect/want to see become first team regulars next season?

Some of our experienced players have struggled to perform this season (like a lot of the team) but with the younger lads like Tierney, McGregor & Rogic in the team playing well, could it be time to bed in a fresh lineup?

Obviously this depends a lot on who might be here or potentially moved on, and who's the manager.

What I'd go for with the current squad
    Gordon
    Janko Sviatchenko Simunovic Tierney
    Brown
    Rogic McGregor
    Roberts Griffiths GMS

    What I'd like to see
    Gordon
    New RB Sviatchenko Simunovic Tierney
    Brown/Ajer
    Allan Rogic
    Roberts Griffths Christie

Would use Roberts & Christie as left and right sided forwards instead of traditional out-wide wingers. Would play Brown as just protector of the back four and giving the other two CMs freedom to play forward to the front 3, but if his poor form turns out to be a genuine drop in ability then that position it key so wouldn't be against bringing in a physical midfielder to take over or see Ajer get a run. I think 4-3-3 suits the players we have and works well in the league.

What do people want to see? Who should we sign/sell/bring through?

If Bitton and Rogic are first team players and we keep that same formation, I fear for next season. Would like to see a stronger choice up front also.

I don't get why people post the 4-2-3-1 formation. That will be going along with Deila. It'll probably be a requirement of the new manager that they don't play 1 up front.

    Personally, I would go with..

    Gordon/New GK

    RB Sviatchenko Simunovic Tierney

    CM Bitton Rogic/CM

    Roberts Griffiths LW/ST

Which would go into a 4-4-2 depending on the opposition. (Or even a 4-5-1 by dropping the LW and RW back from the 4-3-3).

    Gordon/New GK

    RB Sviatchenko Simunovic Tierney

    RW/Roberts Bitton Rogic/CM LW

    Griffiths ST

I'd be happy for Henderson to fill one of those CM spaces if he's good enough but I reckon for next season he would mostly be coming off the bench. Armstrong could maybe do a shift in some SPFL matches in CM, particularly as part of the 3.

Rogic I don't think can last 90 minutes as a CM over the course of a season. I'd probably use him coming off the bench or in specific matches. I'd like to see a quality left winger come in. Elyounoussi would probably be the type I was looking for.

As for a Striker, I don't think we should buy another * 'Target man' that turns slower than milk but allegedly 'bullies' defenders (i.e, does * all but occasionally shoves a guy and concedes a free kick). I'd err on the side of someone who is a bit taller and can maybe play that role, but primarily does a lot of running, plays intelligently and scores goals.

They deserve their places, rest are unknown. Mulgrew has played well but hes been injury prone as * for about 18 month now. Boyata was decent enough I thought and could be improved now after his real first season in football. Simunovic and Janko still unknown really they hardly played.

Brown has come back from injury and been *, remains to be seen if he's just not fit or if his legs are starting to go. McGregor has played well but couldn't play him as a starter with Bitton as neither are that defensive. We also have Henderson who is just coming back from his first season and might stake a claim there, then theres Armstrong who the new manager will probably see as a centre-mid.

Left wing theres no natural player for there so a new one will almost certainly be signed.

I would let go of Blackett, GMS, Forrest, Commons, Ciftci, Cole and Scepovic. Possibly Johansen if we get a big enough bid. Maybe even Ambrose and use Lustig as a centre-back from now on, if not keep Ambrose as a squad player.

I'd be happy with a new keeper, a left winger and another goal scoring striker. As long as Lustig stays fully fit or Janko proves himself.

Need to find a space somewhere for Rogic, I reckon we should give it a shot trying him from out wide but letting him drift in.

Most people are putting Rogic in their team but unless he signs a new deal there is a good chance he will be sold with only a year left on his contract :54:

I think he will stay, it's too risky for him to leave. He's not ready to make the step up and struggles with 90 minute fitness too much. He should stay here, work on his game and his fitness and try to make an impact in Europe.

We badly need a proper defensive midfielder in the team. A Wanyama type who will protect the back four and keep it simple, letting the players on either side of him get forward. Armstrong needs a run in the centre of midfield, he has all the makings of a solid player in that position.
