QPR - Is It Just Me?

Given that they arouse zero emotion in me one way or another, I'm struggling to imagine what about them might conceivably irritate you so much.

 

If you saw that program on BBC towards the end of the season you'd have seen what a horribly run club they've been for years behind the scenes.

Stuff like that never helps. Nor does the fact that after spending a ridiculous amount of money they're a pretty poor club to watch.

 

Having so much money at their disposal and still being utter gash annoys me

I dont like them but I dont dont like them either, theyre a nobody team. I dont like Mark Hughes though so have enjoyed them struggling, the teams hes picked are pish.

 

Think it might be these two.

Might be that they have Rangers in there name.

Might be because on the last day of the Transfer Window SSN kept saying they have news of new people coming to the Hoops and they were talking about QPR.

Might be more reasons, it's just one of those things

 

I hate the fact that Sky Sports refer to them as Rangers and the Hoops too.

 

I think it's a mixture of things!

I just realised I was sitting really going for West Ham for no particular reason then realised I dislike QPR, had to see if it was a common thing

 

As someone who's into the history of the game, I feel QPR are/were quite cool, the way they used to go for maverick-genius type players, like Stan Bowles and Rodney Marsh.

But in my own time as a football supporter they've been nowhere for most of it, and then got bought by that absolute * Bernie Ecclestone. And now they're managed by the execrable Mark Hughes.

So I see them as a club who used to be cool, but in modern times are associated with arsebiscuits. Joey Barton is another (albeit only partial-arsebiscuit)

When i think of QPR,i think of Ian Dowie.

Truth is, I quite like some of his Twatter outpourings. OK, he does just tend to quote a lot of other folk, but at least he does Get It, and his quotes are usually elegant to the context. Also agree with a lot of the content - he's quite merciless about the gut-churning, superficial pishness of UK footballer-culture, so I have to give him that.

Funny, summed up my feelings on him

 

Strange to see folk disliking them because they get called "Rangers and "The Hoops" on the telly. I have a couple of mates who are mad QPR fans and they have told me that they have a similar Irish immigrant / Catholic link as Celtic when they formed.
Hence you will find most QPR fans look for Celtic results particularly when they used to compete with the oldco.
