petrov cheers for o,neil

was at cp today for a tour,as i was arriving the players where in the foyer about to leave for e,burgh,on the tele was m o'neil being intervied on sky sports,petrov clocks this and goes off his head clapping and cheering,looks like this is where he,s off to lads!

 

If he helps us win tomorrow he can leave with our good wishes + the ££ would be nice

 

If petrov moves to Aston villa I will feel better that he is being signed by mon who we can trust that he will give celtic the amount of money we deserve

 

I'll be happy if Petrov goes to Villa, means he can help MON out with his job in the Permiership. Also, MON wont waste our time with stupid bids testing our resolve. He'll know the score and what he's got to stump up to get him.

 

Whats the chance of Petrov putting in a class performance tomorrow knowing its his last game for us. I hope so.Then MON can Buy him for over £6million coz MON knows Celtic need as much money as they can get(MON is ment to be getting a £20million transfer-kitty so they can afford the £6million easy!!)

 

I dont want to burst anybodies bubble here or rain on any parade....BUT MON is now being paid to help VILLA not CELTIC. If anyone really believes MON will be doing Celtic any favours in the transfer market then they definetly do not know the man. He is first and foremost a man of principle.....He will do whatever is best for Aston Villa football club regarding signings........Not Celtic. To believe anything else is crazy. Wanmadtim

 

I think that goes without saying mate, he is the Villa manager and he'll be working his magic to get them into the top 6 this year.

It would be a major shock to me if he DIDNT pay the £7 mil for Petrov tho, i just have a gut feeling that something will happen before to long, unfortunately.

 

Don't get me wrong squire_2 i certainly hope you're gut feeling is correct. Petrov has made his mind up to go, so i hope we get top dollar for the guy. I just think MON will have Villa's interest at heart IF he is interested in signing Stan......He will be more interested in seeing how near to that quoted 5million he can get him for and in the process testing the money men at Celtic's resolve. i doubt he would jump in with a 7million bid right off.......Martin's way too shrewd for that in my opinion. I never said that he would do us a favour but he won't be aragont torwards us he could easly get petrov as he made 6 million moves with celtic why not villa I think he will get him for 6.5 million it will do good for the both of them

but just because he has 20 million does'nt mean he will be allowed to spend all of it on one or two players but 6.5 should be allowed by villa

I would'nt be suprised if he wanted to loan some players maby pearson can't tell the now but he will be eyeing previous signings I can tell u that

We will not get 7 million for Petrov. Have you noticed that there has not been a stampede of clubs knocking on our door to purchase or enquire about him. Have a look at Crespo and Wright-Phillips at Chelsea. A couple of years ago they were the flavour of the month and everyone would of been interested in them. They subsequently went off the boil, similar to what we have seen from Petrov, and that automatically impacts the transfer fee.

MON will not pay more than 5.5 million for his "buddy".

 

If he won't pay more than £5.5m for Petrov then he won't get Petrov.

We wouldn't reject a £6m bid from Pompey and they accept a lower bid weeks later.

If he wants Petrov, £7m is the price on his head.

 

well I think he originally baught him for 3.5 million and he will know that players value go up and that he is worth the 6.5 -7 million celtic are asking for

 

It's only a matter of time before Petrov goes to Villa imo. However, remember that MO'N wanted to bring Lennon with him in the summer of 2000 but it took until the new year before he agreed a price with Leicester. It might not be as straight forward as some of you think.

 

Guys, if MON wasn't the manager of Aston Villa would that be a gOOd move for Petrov do we think? IF he goes to Villa and we get the $7 (sorry no pounds sign here in Canada) that's great. But we were all on about clubs being tOO wee for him and a step down. Surely Villa is a step down for both MON and Petrov??
