Paedo Ring Smashed After 'Horrific' Abuse

Police have crushed a paedophile ring which subjected two girls aged as young as five to "horrific" abuse.

[IMG] John Barrett, James Machin and John Wrey subjected young girls to * attacks

Convicted child * attacker John Barrett was the gang leader and groomed young girls before passing them on to other men in Cornwall.
The children were sometimes forced to inhale drugs during their ordeals.
The abuse was uncovered when police arrested Barrett in December 2007, and an investigation called Operation Lakeland began to identify other paedophiles.
Devon and Cornwall Police said dozens more victims have been targeted by the ring.
The case can be reported for the first time after another member of the gang – father-of-two James Machin, 54 – was convicted at Truro Crown Court in Cornwall.
Machin, of North Parade, Falmouth, was found guilty of a string of * offences - including rape - against two girls over three years and will be sentenced on Monday.

    Horrible, disgusting, manipulative, predatory paedophiles.
How Detective Inspector Simon Snell described the men

During his trial, prosecutor Jonathan Barnes said Machin had taken victims to an empty holiday cottage near Falmouth to repeatedly abuse them.
When the abuse started, one of the girls was aged five and the other was seven.
"It is a distressing picture," Mr Barnes said.
Barrett, 49, and another man, John Wrey, 55, were convicted of * offences against the girls in 2008.
Barrett, a builder from Camborne, was jailed for 14 years and Wrey, from Hayle, was given a five-and-a-half year sentence.
Before Machin was arrested in 2009, he tried to cover his tracks by steam-cleaning the inside of his van and trying to wipe large quantities of child * from two laptops.
Police began investigating after the mother of one of the victims raised concerns.
Detective Inspector Simon Snell, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said the victims had been "horrifically abused" and described the men as "horrible, disgusting, manipulative, predatory paedophiles".

Absolutely delighted these animals have been captured and that the victims have been identified and will now be able to recieve some sort of support.

I know what you mean mate, but in my opinion, if they're 6 feet under they'll never ever have a chance of doing it again.

They should be handed over to the relatives of their victims.

To * with civil liberties and the human right brigade anyone that harms a child should have zero rights, they don't deserve to be treated as human beings as soon as they destroyed those childrens lives they gave up their own rights.

Lock them up 24/7 in a dingy wee dark cell with no TV, no cigs, no books etc.

I hope they get what they deserve in prison.

    Dirty *.

I know some people would like them tortured etc, but I'd just kill them straight away to save them sitting with vile thoughts of children roaming about in their heads.

    Slow painful deaths though.

It really beggars belief how human beings can do these things.

Even for murderers, with an effort you can usually get inside their head, and salvage some human reason for what they have done.

But sometimes you just have to shake your head and say, "this is beyond my understanding". :54:

On a positive note, the police can really take some credit here. For once, we can be proud of what our taxes are being used for.

    Well done Devon and Cornwall.
