think he will be off at the first oppotunity and I for one do not blame him...... Very dissapointed in Lenny as well. We were crying out for a change and when it looked like we had no way out, paddy had went warmed up and then stripped out and ready to come on...... and bang we score. Lenny was jubilant, then it cuts to mc court who was devasted. Then to be told that he wouldnt be coming on and that samaras would be making an appearance is the ultimate kick in the balls

He has done nowt wrong, and very rarely given a chance, even in the preseason friendlies in the aviva he was given little time on the park

I really hope he doesnt and that he stays, but dont blame him at all if he leaves. Gets treated like * yet is expected to bail us out at every opportunity

Love Lenny but very dissapointed in his treatment of mc court after telling him that he will play a massive part in the team

we only had 1 sub remaing and with the dons most likely route to goal would be a set play it was sensible to bring sammy on.

How can you be disappointed. We won, we need stability in our team - thats whats been lacking since wee Strachan left. So we need to get the confidence back for winning games.

So get that right first before we start chopping and changing all the time.

I'd like to see him given a good run in the team. He has to be, at the very least, a first sub player.

He played a full game in Dublin.

I don't see where you get the idea that he is expected to bail us out.

I don't think he is better than any midfielder that played today and when we scored, he brought Sammy on because he always defends, which he was probably wanting to be done.

I'd like to see him go to another SPL side like Hibs for a few months, with the option to recall him if we needed him. Possible injuries mean he is an important player in our squad. But he always looks at his best when he's been playing a fair bit of games, so I reckon it'd be a decent idea.

Should loan Towell out to them again, as well.

What are you moaning about? Lenny made the exact right call when it came to subs. When things weren't working Forrest was brought on and Stokes moved into the box, and we get a goal. Before the goal there was an argument to bring on Paddy, but to do so after we scored would have been a massive mistake.

Bringing on Paddy would have meant we had one less player doing defensive work while Aberdeen looked for an equaliser.

Sammy was brought on because he can hold up the ball and that's very useful when trying to run down the clock. He did his job very well - there was even a moment where he tracked the ball right back to our corner flag and stopped an attack.

If Paddy was upset that we scored then he needs to have a word with himself.

He's not good enough to get into our team, and too greedy to boot. I don't feel any more sympathy for McCourt than I do Murphy.

Well said mate :50: Totally agree.

I really dislike McCourt because of he way he is defensively so flawed and just expects to go on runs on the time and then loses the ball. He is a complete waste because of that. Maybe if he learned to defend and make key passes and the right time rather than trying to do a lionel messi he would be a much better player and would get a first team place.

Lenny made the exact right call today and good on him.

i dont buy into feeling sorry for any footballer tbh. thye get paid monsterous amounts of money for doing something they love.

i also dont buy into not given a chance thing for any footballer.

they have more than enough of an oppotuinity in training to prove they are match winners and would bennifit the team.

if lenny and the guys dont think paddy (as much as i like him) is up to it then fair enough, they see him play an awefull lot more than me!

I like McCourt for his cavalier style to the game, but we simply have better options than him at the moment.

He is good for what happened today, he is a good option to bring on when we are struggling to break a team down but unfortunately for him today we scored just as we were going to bring him on.

Lennon done the right thing when we scored not to bring him on.

I hope he plays enough games this season to qualify for a league championship medal.

    Agree with the OP.

Give me an entertainer like Paddy over 10 Scott Brown's any day of the week.

A guy with genuine end product that just doesn't get enough opportunities, even today when Commons had an off day and we were crying out for width.

Would be one of the 1st names on my teamsheet.

McCourt will always be an impact player at Celtic, which means that there are gonna be games where he may get on and games when he doesnt.

He is an enigma and is blessed with great dribbling ability. He did very well for us last season and for a spell near the start was our best player.

Im not gutted for him. He is living the dream as far as I am concerned. A cult player and think that Lenny will use him when he feels necessary.

In that situation today I don't think anybody should 'feel sorry' for Paddy McCourt. We were in need of a goal so Neil Lennon was going to throw Paddy on to try and create that goal for us. We scored before Paddy got the chance to come on so there was no need for him to come on any more. That's football.

Why doesnt Paddy McCourt change his name to Paddy Impact McCourt, as it seems no-one can write a sentence about either without the other appearing. Lets have a prize for the 10000th post were someone thinks they are a master tactician by informing us that "Paddy is an impact player"P.S. Does anyone here think Paddy would be best suited used as an impact player?:31::31::31:
