The only thing I can’t think of is that midfield trio have performed well against them in most previous games and Rogic too.

But both Armstrong and McGregor have done well against them..

    Ntcham should have started tho.

  3. It was a dreadful decision..

I honestly could see the other option's turning in a pish performance. It was coming..

Deserves a proper run in the team now, no 20 min cameos or play 1 game dropped for 3. He was a class above everyone on that field bar Broony when he came on yesterday.

I know Rodgers is the manager but I don't see any reason why this guy shouldn't have started yesterday. Makes no sense.

He is more in form than McGregor and has been than Armstrong all season.

We have invested around £9m into 2 midfielders who he doesn't want to put ahead of his favourites. Which is what I'm thinking they are now.

Out of interest, any clips of Brendan before the game after the teams were announced?? Must have been questioned about his selection.

Without specifically mentioning Ntcham, still be good to hear?

Only reason I think Rodgers may of started Armstrong and McGregor was to give them a last chance to prove they can step up their game when needed, especially with Armstrong if he’s offski.

After the winter break our midfield should be Brown Eboue Ntcham, with Rogic back in once he’s fit as well.

This. The reason he was so effective was because he can take a decent first touch and set himself up for a pass or taking the ball forward into space.

A few of our players as dominant as they are here, have a horrendous first touch. It's more evident in Europe when teams press us. A good first touch is paramount to keeping possession and moving the ball quickly which BR wants. Noticed it the last good few weeks the likes of Forrest, Lustig, Boyata, Armstrong and even KT, their first touch lets them down so often. It was clear for all to see yesterday as well.

He was honking for the first 25 mins away at Anderlect, until THAT ball put KT away for the first goal.

Yesterday however he was sensational when he came on, great ball retention, looked to play forward at every opportunity.

He's certainly a talent, had 6 months to settle and will now hopefully kick on from here.

Looked useful when he came on yesterday. In hindsight it was probably a mistake not to have him in the starting eleven but I can't criticise Brendan too much for that as I was also wary of starting him in yesterday's game.

The first 25 in anderlecht has no relevance really. People keep bringing it up for some strange reason.

For me, he already looks settled and should be playing regularly. His form recently has been excellent.

  14. Aye as if it's some black mark and justification for leaving him out..

He set us on the way to a 3 nil away win in Europe with a sublime pass and was excellent after..

He's an outstanding talent and Brendan absolutely got that one wrong yesterday and I'm still no sure as to why he wasn't one of the first picks. His form has settled in to a really good pattern lately and no just wee glimpses..

Aye, Ntcham has been pish a couple of times this season. McGregor and especially Armstrong have been pish much more though. More recently too.

Huge mistake made here from our manager.

Aye, the other two have experience in this game but Ajer never. Ajer deserved his place on form, as did Ntcham so that can't be used as an excuse.

  16. I dont think Rodgers has favourites. Far too good a manager to think so shallow. I think he went with Scottish players because they know the history of the match. He made a mistake and im sure he will learn from it.

To be fair, Armstrong created the chance for Sinclair at the end of the first half, where Sinclair should have scored.

Can’t be overly critical of his decision given what he’s done in his 18 months, however given how he seen the game was playing out I thought he took far too long to rectify his mistake.

That was an excellent run but it was the only positive contribution of note I can remember. Some of his passing was embarrassingly bad.
