They are playing a 3-5-2 ? the chivas did that and they didn't do very well but neither did celtic if celtic play good against them they should be able to tear them apart.

Im afraid not. With it being their 1st year in the League, the guys are going to need some time to develop. Mo has got some work to do, maybe he can bring in an a big import or two over the next couple of seasons.

Shaydee is right though, Canadian Dwayne DeRosario could easily be playing and starting for, not a great, but a good European side, he's a fantastic player.

will be interesting to see joseph play seen as we'v been linked with him quite a bit over the last year as i for one certainly dont remember him as a stand out when we played new england rev last year. but must have something was he not voted midfielder of the year or something and he's now in this squad.
wonder if we'l make a move for him if he does well. he could be a cheap Appiah

So what if they beat chelsea and fulham celtic drew against chelsea at stamford last season anything could happen but Celtic have the bigger players but the mls team have the fitness and the sharpness.

It Should be a very interesting game.

I think it will be 2-1 to celtic if the team don't do what they did last season in america.

Wouldnt that be because most of them are people that never played in Europe? Judging from the U20 performance so far.... And nearly everyone of them are in the MLS. Well.

Im not a fan of the MLS or watch it. But dont underestimate it.

In my opinion when American's get into something they are generally very good at it.
They bring over the best coaching talent they can attract & players too to increase awareness.
They have good facilities, good weather & seem to encourage youngsters to become good professional athletes.
The College Scholarship system is something they should be pretty proud of, my 2 wee cousins are at Uni over there getting a good education for free cos they're good at football.
I've also know a couple of golfers & a guy who played Rugby, but got a scholarship as a kicker for american football.
The U20 American team look * hot, were as the Scottish team just look *.
We really could learn a few things from them (loathe as I am to say it).

Celtic has looked like a joke on their recent tours here, so I wouldn't say that. Hopefully they'll be respectable enough in their performances this summer to gather a small following of new fans. Last summer they came to DC and were embarassed 4-0, conceding many of the goals to DCUnited reserves.

I also think it's a disgrace to slate your own domestic league when you're willing to wake up at 9am to watch your European team play (assuming you actually go through the trouble, and arent just a Celtic fan because the hoops are pretty).

As for the team MLS will put out, if it is those 11, I can't imagine what the formation will look like, since there are 5 centre mids, 2 central defenders, a left wingback, and a pair of strikers.

Looked like a 3-5-2 to me, if so we should destroy them with the overlapping FB's & Donati/Brown CM.
Miller pulling players all over the place & JVoH in the air.

You can expect a totally different approach this time, we have learned from our previous mistakes in pre-season & have got together pretty quickly this time.
I hope Naka is going to make it, as he would attract some interest from American fans & also show them how a free kick should be taken (cos David Beckam is *).
