Official Celtic vs Killie Pre-Match Thread

  1. Celtic Vs Kilmarnock

    A couple of points,

    First of all , if wgs plays Hartley,Donanti and Brown again in midfeild then i hope killie do not have a good right mid as with they three in the middle hartley will be left exposed on the right and Brown and Donanti would be wasted if put on the right as they are better in the centre.Their is the option of Mcgeady on the right and Riordan on the left but wgs seems to favour Hartley and silike Rioradan as we all know.

    Secondly with the effort and commitment he has shown i would start with Kenny up front. Yet i dont know who with. JVOH has under performed so far even tho its only pre season and i think he can only get better. Mcdonald is out. Zurwaski wouldnt go well with miller. So i think it should be Miller and Killen or Riordan but wgs dosent like Riordan and Killen is still adapting to the Celtic way!

    Thirdly and finally i urge al of the fans to get behind the team , at he end of last season the atmosphere was shocking and when we lost a goal the fans basically turned their back on the plas. Not to mention the 3rd old firm which was the quitest in a long time. On CL nights it is not just down to skill that we have had some famous victorys but due to the fact that the supporrt has acted like a 12th man so to give the team more confidence we need to do that in evry game and not heep even more pressure on them. WHATEVER THE VIEW ON THE TEAM IS YOU ARE THEIR TO SUPPORT THEM.

    Cant believe you are thinking that JVoH shouldn't start championselect. He's our only proven goalscorer. He's got a physical presence. Killen can't play alongside JVoH, he was signed to be backup for him, they are too similar. At some point Hartley has to come good. He has been playing very well for Hearts and Scotland for 3 years and i just think he needed time to bed in.

    Killie's best player is in a strop. At home to Celtic, first game of the season? 3-1, JVoH (2) and McGeady. Pass back * up for their goal.

    I've seen him play well...just not for us.:87:

    But it is in him somewhere. Remember the Bhoy is a hoops fan, maybe he is just crapping himself after being at St Johnstone five years ago? He deserves more of a chance than Pressley, who i have never liked as a player and is now passed it. (And it has nothing to do with him being a hun, or being beardy).

    He also used to play out wide, and we need as much cover as we can get at the moment out there.

    i think strachan will play hartley and magic instead of riordan and miller though .

    I think on paper (or on an LCD screen) this line-up looks the part. Killie will be there for the taking and hopefully we can get off to a flyer. Hope the support gets right behind the team.

  14. Jvoh first touch is shocking his movement is shocking aswell maby he needs a good partner but in no way should zurawski start he is getting rubbisher by the game.

Honestly even tho im drunk, i would deffo play this team some how i dunno but im starting to like Miller for his work rate, at least hes trying for the club, Jvoh he will only try if anything comes to his feet or head the lazy * so we need sumone to feed him and i believe either Miller or McDonald are the ones for that..

    All things considered, I think should be the lineup against Kilmarnock. Nakamura definately needs a break if we want him playing well for the whole season not just a couple of games.

    Very interesting to see McGeady, Miller, Riordan & Brown running all sorts of directions at Killie plus Wilson and Naylor overlapping at times, they wont know what to do!

  17. I would pick that lineup too. If that lineup hit top form it would wreak havoc against most SPL teams. Think WGS will keep Hartley in instead of Deeks though.

  18. Same team for me, I'd keep that team until McDonald can play and Nakamura has had a decent amount of rest.
