Now this thread isn’t about the times where Henrik pegged a player and ran 30 yards to chip Stefan Klos or Nakamura’s incredible free kick against Man Utd. This is about the little things about somebody’s game that you noticed and thought, that right there, I love him for that.

For me it was Stan Petrov, into stoppage time in an Old Firm match, we were winning comfortably (I think it was the 6-2 game). Stan was on the wing after being shunted out to the RM to make the midfield a bit more solid, stoppage time and he’s trying to hold the ball up.

Took it by one player and got chopped down, referee (surprise surprise) doesn’t blow the whistle for a foul, Stan right away realizes the ball is sloooowly dribbling out of play and would gift the ball back to Rangers.

In clear pain he stands up and scrambles to the ball trying to keep possession. He just missed it but for that moment, the determination and desire, well that summed up the player for me and I loved him for it. It’s a moment that sticks in my head.

Anybody else had moments like this that are just a stand out in your eyes regarding a player?

i found even more respect for big billy when after aton rogan had beng sent off at tynecastle, anton was about to rip his shirt off in anger, as he walked to the touchline....billy spotted what anton was about to do......and you could hear big billy shouting at him "dont you dare do that to our jersey"

When Chris Sutton gave Beckham a slap after he had shoved Lambert during Giggs' testimonial, even Roy Keane enjoyed it :shamrock:

There was a game at Ibrox where Rangers were on the attack and one of their players was dribbling down the left wing with the ball. I think he had got as far as being level with our box and was preparing to put a cross over. Then a Celtic player appeared and put in a great sliding tackle on him and put the ball out for a throw, allowing our defence to organise itself.

Who was the player who made the tackle? Henrik Larsson.

When I saw that I just thought to myself - what a great team player that man is. Fantastic.

the game where Paulo de * chipped the ball up from a free kick i think and smacked it against Andy Dibble's crossbar against rangers at parkhead. Always remeber that one.

Aw I've had plenty of moments like that with Larsson, the amount of times you seen him pressing high up the pitch, chasing down the goalkeeper who was about to kick it out.

That man had an incredible work rate to go with his talent.

Barry Robson's elbow to the back of Christian Dailly's head. You just knew at that moment, our attitudes had changed.

Robson's over zealous challenge on Dailly, I still firmly believe set us the tone to win the title that season.

Lamberts challenge when he got his teeth knocked out at Ibrox and also went he went to start boxing with Klos, one of his mates.

Bobby Petta when he ripped the * out of Ricksen that much and that often Advocaat whipped him off before half time.

Didier Agathe's performance against Ajax in Amsterdam, Ajax were shell shocked at his pace and energy going both ways they couldn't cope with him.

Just off the top of my head those few.

At the start of the 3-0 pumping of the huns last season, Kayal stuck right into Diouf with a tackle and won it cleanly, to get a roar from the crowd.

Seeing Zaluska going mad when we scored against the huns when he was in goals, have much more respect for him now.
