No 'Carling' strip ?

browsing through the web i found this interview with Artur Boruc:

But what caught my eye was the Celts comin out of the tunnel (at 1:30) wearnig the hoops with no carling logo on it.
Can somebody tell me what game it was (cant tell what the other tam was) and whats the thing with carling?

A few countries, such as France, don't allow alcohol to be openly advertised.
When Liverpool played over there, they didn't have Carlsberg on their kit (or maybe pish lager is banned).

Couldn't tell you what match that was though...

 

I'm pretty sure they weren't allowed to have Carlsberg on their kit when they were against Kobenhavn because Kobenhavn use it themselves.

 

They shouldn't have a sponsor, ruins the strip!

I think it was against artmedia. We didnt have logos on the strips coz there was a mix up and they never recieved the right amount of strips with logos prior to the game. Some of the strips did have logos if i remember correctly. I remember it at the time.

 

i agree but wot about doing a barca and putting SCIAF on the tops that would be costly but class any you cant buy that

 

Yeah the SCIAF idea is good, I like Barca for that. But I think sponsors ruin the top

nah, they had Corrs Light on the shirts. that beer is quite popular in the US.

 

I think Coors owns Carling, thats why they changed it forthe US tur.
