If he doesn't let the occasion get to him and carries on with his effort and work rate, he'll be very important on Sunday.

I have this fear too, hopefully I'm wrong.

To his credit, he's picked it up massively recently.

His pedigree would make you think the occasion shouldn’t be an issue. The way his close control has been the last few games and his directness with it, he just sticks to that and he’ll cause allsorts of problems for the manks.

He's now looking like the player I expected him to be when he signed. Sunday is massive for him. He's done it against the weaker sides but this is his first proper chance to show how he can be a match winner against the better opposition.

He certainly deserves to start the game his excellent form has earned him the start. How he does could be a big factor in the game I feel.

If Barisic starts LB I’m absolutely 100% confident he’ll run riot. If they’re smart they’ll start Stirling there against him, who I still think he could rip to shreds, but would think more of a contest than if he’s playing like his last 3 games we’ve seen from up against the Squatting Croat.

And Maeda frightens Tavernier, he’s done it consistently over so many games now. Turns up against them offensively dangerous and doesn’t allow him to get the runs and time that he finds elsewhere, at every level because he’s scored from the late run to the backpost in Europe a lot, Maeda doesn’t allow that and scares him into mistakes as well.

We nullify the fullbacks, push them further up the pitch away from our box, it takes away a monumental threat. No daft fouls round the box

Beaton nullified him today weird pointing to 4 apparent fouls and booked him.

Thought he was poor in 1st half. Seemed bit overwhelmed by the experience and pace of the game but not the 1st player who that's happened to on their 1st appearance in this game.

However given what came after him his performance actually looked not as bad compared to the * yang served up

I think the booking sucked all his confidence and he just went into his shell, he is not the first Celtic player that’s gone missing at his first game at Ipox.

This. I think the occasion got to him a little. Wasn't the worst he's been but definable nowhere near the player he has been recently. Reckon he'll thrive at CP against them.

He didn't do much at all today but we we clearly targeting the left side of the pitch and we had far more joy supplying maeda. Unlucky to get a yellow for very little which took the edge of his challenges. Especially with Johnston and O'Reilly picking up bookings, it felt like the right side of the team was forced to tread very carefully.

He needs a proper run in the team but to be honest I'm not convinced he's Celtic quality yet.

I thought he did OK tbh. Coulda been better but definitely had their back line a bit scared of his pace

Twice he got space and twice he put in dangerous crosses. But from about five mins in he went to take on Sterling, failed at it, and continued everytime to try and go on his left cutting in for him to easily tackle on his strong foot.

He kept trying the same thing and that wasn’t working. The booking he got frustrated pulled the man back and gave the opportunity to get booked.

Doesn’t have the physicality to deal with a strong defender, he still created a few chances though. A good experience for him.

Awful today. The number of times he is in a great position and can’t find a Celtic player is ridiculous. His pass completion rate in the final third must be embarrassing. The 2 wingers currently occupying the jerseys aren’t good enough.
