Hi, just wondering has anyone been to one of those huge Celtic FC conventions in Las Vegas? I think they happen every 2 years in June, last one was in 2007 so I think one is happening in 2009. I'd love to go over for one, but obviously it'd be quite expensive, so I dunno if it's worth it. Anyone got any experience at one of these? Ta

Do you need it book it thru the official travel agency? Or can you do it like yourself?

Some of us have booked on their official flight to stay at the Riviera through Semple Travel, but a few folk I know have also used the official agent Semple Travel to book flights over London with connects from Glasgow. They paid around £700 for 7 nights compared to around £900 for us. The things is that we are all able to get event tickets guaranteed cos we've booked with Semples. We only had to pay a deposit now and the rest has to be squared up next March to April.

You can get a direct flight from Glasgow to Las Vegas with Thomas Cook. Thomas Cook are also Celtic travel partners so you might be able to get a package with them.

Have checked up and found that SempleTravel are selling Tommy Cook flight and Riviera Hotel for under £700. The price has come down because they got extra seats and had some cancellations. Cooks are also doing the flight but they are wanting over £700 for the same thing. Seemingly there are only 19 seats left on the whole flight. Already booked months ago and paid a bit more but don't really care...wouldn't miss it for the world. Only a few weeks to go

Thomas Crook??? I'd rather pay more money than go with them. The way the rip off fans and take tickets away from any supporter that doesn't want to buy one of their packages is a joke

Firstly how do Thomas Cook rip off fans? Secondly, if your paying more to go with some other campany so to avoide Thomas Cook, would that not mean the other company is ripping you off, seen as they are more expencive than Thomas Cook?

I think what he meant was that given reputation Cooks have got for the European match prices they charged, and then the fact that they were allowed to get access to our tickets for European games before we could, would encourage many to look elsewhere when it comes to Las vegas.
The fact is that they are actually still dearer then the NAFCSC own agent, Semples, although from what I have heard, Cooks have still had some influence on what Semples have been charging lately cos its their own aircraft.
We always stick with the official agent...Cooks for Europe...Semple for Las Vegas...as each supports the club in their own way

Any of you folks out there from 28th May - 4th June?

We stupidly booked up forgetting about the convention.

Would be good to grab a beer and a bit of banter anyway.

    Cheers Mark.
