I think this guy is a top notch player. He's strong and fast. A proper full back. Problem is he's another * loan signing that we'll never make permanent. Its Celtic's signing policy these days but loans like this are not a permanent solution. Its just annoying to know there is no way our board would pay the money to sign some of these guys permanently.

This is a loan to buy.

The amount in question I don't know

I hope his injury isn't too serious, was wanting him to start mid-week too.

I really like him. Wouldn’t mind making it permanent.

Way too early to be shouting for a perm signing but he’s started well.

Thought he looked okay yesterday, some decent crosses in and lovely ball to Edouard for his goal. We should be working on using his long throw to decent effect, particularly for Europe.

Turning out to be a class player. Love his crosses and his pass for the assist to Edouard was a thing of beauty.

Say, hypothetically, we have agreed a fee of £4m and he continues to be the real deal..

Will/should we pay it if El Hamed keeps up this form?

To have 2 quality right backs at the club would be amazing, however, is it economically viable due to the wages he would command?

Perhaps the question lies in El Hamed's versatility/effectiveness at centre back. If El Hamed was to prove himself as a quality centre back it would be a more viable option.

Perhaps the question is of the ambition of the club?

Obviously with a fan's perspective I'd say yes, sign him up.

    What's everybody's thoughts?

  19. I think that you have nailed it there, mate. Elhamed is, seemingly, excellent anywhere across the backline (even at left-back).

It'd be a nice problem to have.
